Taboo trade

Blazers:
Tobias Harris
Tyrese Maxey

Sixers:
Damian Lillard

Blazers: youth movement and escape from Dame’s contract
Sixers: Harden-Dame-Embiid take one of those Morey-like risks for improving championship odds sake

Why for Kings: instead of letting Barnes walk, Kings get a future replacement 3&D guy in Thybulle

Why for Sixers: provides length and shooting with Barnes. I’d assume we’d get more of Green’s G6 performance with Barnes while being atleast as good as Green on defense.

Sixers then can decide who to chose between Barnes and Tobi. If Barnes is better long term piece then they can just re-sign Barnes and let Tobi walk and maybe Reed replacing Tobi and be our starting PF

Sixers:
Maxey
Harden
Barnes
Tobias
Embiid

Pretty sure Barnes was the guy Morey was talking about when he said that bit about “offering two firsts for a guy who wasn’t worth it just to see what would happen” on the Ricky.

In other words, I don’t think Sacto will trade Barnes.

I don’t think it matters what trades they make if their best player is going to be hurt every spring.

Someone like Moses Moody is probably gettable.

Not exactly.

Thybulle for LuDort

Thunders: get someone with longer rookie contract

LuDort: 3&D ready wing (17ppg on 7 3PTAs last season)

Problem with Dort is that he's due up to get paid after next season. I'd prefer to focus on using Thybulle to get rookie contract players that haven't cracked the rotation of their respective teams yet.

I'm more concerned with guys that couldn't hack it at their original schools before transferring.

Johnny Juzang gets a pass because he supposedly only transferred to be closer to family during the pandemic.

No thank you from POR and best wishes on a swift Embiid return.

Quite honestly, no thank you from us as well.

I'd have to think about Tobias straight up for Lillard, but adding Maxey? Please.

The problem with both Jim and Dame are that neither are willing to function as a catch and shoot player. All they think about is the pullup.

I don't like Bradley Beal, but at this point, I think he'd be the better fit as a third piece.

My reaction exactly to adding Maxey.

I never wanted Lillard in the first place, or Beal either. This team doesn't need another on-ball type player, especially coming with a max contract - we need defense, rebounding, and guys who can C&S 3's in their sleep.

Most teams do need more of that.

Never been a fan of Maxey but he’s had a good year.

I think the Dame train has passed (if it were ever even a possibility .)

To be honest I think Tobias has shockingly played himself out of getting traded.

Personally, I do find the Dame for Maxey risky on our side.

Im just curious what do Blazers fans expect in return for him?

But at the same time, I wouldnt be surprised that a team like Celts or whatever offers them a salary filler and a truck load of picks.

Maybe even Conley and picks for Dame?

The problem with that is creating flexibility to add all the other pieces they need with Tobias' salary is likely untenable. I mean, unless Josh Harris is paying a heavy repeater tax bill. Which, I guess is a possibility?

Playoff Tobi and Maxi for Mitchel. ( Strike whilst Tobi is Hot )
Utah possibly wants a pick or 2 extra.
