If he goes elsewhere, it's probably via S&T though right?

I saw somewhere that we cannot S&T Grimes because we traded for him midseason. Not sure if it's true though, hopefully CBA experts can confirm or deny.

Ah interesting

Him shooting poorly in a workout doesn't really matter much. You have games of data on his ability to shoot, freaking out over a workout would be ridiculous. The only reason people are is because of Fultz and Fultz was a completely unique situation where the guy changed his form and developed the yips and is a mental midget on top of it. VJ is not a mental midget.

That said, I like Tre more than him with or without this workout. And still want them to trade up for Harper. But if you were a VJ guy yesterday and aren't today over something so small, then you need some perspective. Crazy reason to be out on a player.

VJ did not shoot well. He had an easy shot diet to put up those seemingly respectable numbers. He can't finish at the rim and he can't create in the midrange. All he can do is transition and C&S 3's where he is only adequate.

I'm sure that decision worked out great!

DLO also skipped our workout. If he fell to us, would that have been the right pick? Jabari Parker intentionally tanked his workout with the Cavs.

Does skipping or tanking workouts mean that they'll be picks that succeed? What is the point being made here?

I'm not sure if there are many people here that changed their opinion from taking Ace ro passing on Ace because he refused to work out for the Sixers.

Plus, not that I think anyone cares, but isn't he the only one that didn't work out for any team?

OK,

Spin the 76ers wheel of fortune.
According to an unnamed source, this is what Morey uses.

No, that was a mistake. But if Hinkie is able to trade Okafor in his rookie year that return would have been better than drafting Porzingis. There was some merit to going for another MCW pump and dump with Okafor but it was still a mistake and ultimately cost Hinkie the job.

Covi_Marsh wrote:I don’t understand this leak. So two weeks ago they say he’s the favorite to be picked 3rd because of he impressed with his work ethic, personality and interviews.

Now two days before the draft he still impressed but his shooting was underwhelming in the actual workout but that’s okay because we value the interview more? Lol

Could be a smokescreen for teams thinking they can sit and wait on Bailey. Hornets want VJ so if they think Sixers might pass on him they are less likely to trade back before we make our pick. Any team wanting Ace might fear Morey couldn't care less what Ace does/want after what he went thru with Ben/James.

As for why that tidbit was leaked, the simplest explanation is it wasn't "leaked" per se. It was someone in the Sixers brass talking to ESPN in confidence, because that's how the information exchange works in sports. You give me info on occasion and we'll help you out in future if you need stuff leaked or you want a puff piece about your team written. And this was just a natural information over a source/reporter relationship. I doubt this was strategically leaked. It makes no sense from any angle of why it would get out.

After VJ Ibaka got "fultzed", I think we need to draft fat boy Queen now. My only worry is that his post game may look like this, after a couple of years eating philly cheesesteaks:

I'm not a cap expert, but I think we have room for either Yabu or Grimes. If we're picking a guard in the top 6, I'd prefer to keep Yabu.

Eric Gordon and Ricky Counsel get shipped out for Cash (Almost $7MM).

Harper is a coward. He needs to force himself away from that overloaded Spurs backcourt situation lol.

No worries, as long as he's taking high quality shots unlike that video of your boy Ace I posted earlier:

I think he may have one of the biggest ranges. Some teams will be turned off by his combine performance. I've seen him mocked starting around 10-12 and down to low 20's.

If we can find a way to bring him in...

Do you see Embiid coming off the bench? I think that may be the most impactful way for the rest of his career.
