I'm just going to pray that when Boston has Josh Jackson in for his workout he doesn't go off and hit a bunch of 3's and wake Ainge up. I can just see Ainge offering a trade down scenario to the 76ers. I'm praying that Boston takes Fultz off the board.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

I'm happy the Sixers got the 3rd pick. Outside of No. 1, it was the ideal spot for us because it means Josh Jackson will be a Sixer.

Next to Fultz, I like Jackson's fit with the Sixers the best. He's got the size and measurables to be an elite wing defender, he is an active and willing rebounder and he really showed improvement on his shooting accuracy the latter part of last season.

He wouldn't need to be rushed into playing a lot of minutes thanks to Covington being around, but he could end up developing into a very good SF in Brett Brown's system. Could be a great, athletic defender who is great in transition.

Add him to a group of Luwawu-Cabarrot, Covington, Simmons, Embiid, Holmes and Korkmaz down the line and that's a lot of athleticism and defensive potential!

I've never heard so much talk about defense amongst perimeter prospects before, how has that worked out for Kris Dunn? Is this related to Kawhi Leonard? Fantasy basketball?

The Mavs missed the playoffs without Brunson.

Every prospect is different? Defense is obviously important?

Kris Dunn stinks on offense, Kawhi is awesome at it. Doesn't tell us anything about Jackson.

I like the thought of signing jrue or lowery, drafting richardson.. and running the following:

on offesen: PG: simmons SG: lowery/jrue SF: Richardson PF: Covington C: Embiid and then on defense simmons guards the PF, lowery/jrue guards the PG, and covington guards the 3 and richardson guards the 2

you have bayless off the bench at the 1 and 2 spots, saric off the bench for the 3 and 4 spots, and Okafor at the 5 off the bench

thats a pretty dang good 8 man rotation.. that has to be a playoff team in the east

The guy could be the wing that we need that can defend PGs. Reminds me of how irritating Elfrid Payton is on D. He can also has the quickness to push the ball like a PG.

It's just I really think opponents will let their PG defend Covington. If only we can have two josh jackson we can murder every PG in the league everynight hahaha

What makes you think that Josh Jackson can defend quick guards? It's an honest question, the +/- 10 games I've seen from Kansas there weren't many occasions that he defended these kind of players. If you remember a game I'd love to watch it back.

He struggled vs athletic guards, got blown by pretty regularly, especially in the later half of the season - as his offence got better his defence really slipped. As a top 3 prospect he's pretty meh all in all.

Is there anyone you like better and would rather pick? Assuming Fultz and Ball go 1/2?

Another interesting projection model.

That is interesting. Swanigan at 3? Jackson at 17?

Do they have their results from the last 3 or 4 drafts so I can compare how their model looks?

Came across it on a reddit NBA draft board. The author qualifies that Swanigan, much like Henry Ellison last year, dominated the college game, but the projections aren't smart enough to recognize the lack of athleticism.

The author also recognized the drop from Jackson is due to his FT%. The Jonathan Isaac's position is pretty interesting here.

Caleb Swanigan is a superior prospect to Jahlil Okafor. More varied offensive skill level and on a different planet as a rebounder. I'm just not sure what you do with a tall heavy that can't defend the pick or roll or protect the rim.

Better hope the Lakers stick with Ball too. I was lurking on their board earlier and theres a growing call for Jackson over Ball

If we can just get Jackson at 3 this entire offseason is a success

Then we take Ball.

If I were a Lakers fan I would want Ball over Jackson because they don't have a point guard, and Ball is a great one.

Russell has to play off the ball, and Clarkson is a third guard type. Lonzo comes in and captains the ship from day one.

If they take Jackson then they have Russell captaining the ship, and that will mean chaos.

I think the Celtics either take Fultz, or trade the pick to someone else that will probably take Fultz. I think Jackson will be there for us at 3, and I just hope we take him.

Thanks. The analytics love Isaac. Is there's a list longer than 5? Do you have their model for the last 3 years?
