Actually sort of surprising how this hasn't become a big deal at all.

Agreed. It's not a huge deal, but it's also not nothing.

And combined Ben and Embiid still don't have 1 season between them and our #1 pick is not playing. Robert Covington has basically been missing in action. We are a .500 team and in contention for a playoff spot. And that is just the start of the Embiid effect. I would say when you put it out like this it's a big deal and frigging amazing.
Wait... I thought we were talking Embiid pushing the fan? (I did and1 your other post, but not what I was referring to here)

At the very least I feel like the media has made bigger deals out of dumber stuff than this.

That "fan" was being a dick. Embiid should have and did shove him.

I don't really understand how you could have that reaction to this. The guy probably overstepped his bounds, but looked like he was just having fun, and Embiid completely overreacted. Whoever was with Joel that rushed him out of there didn't do that because Joel did the right thing...

Why should Embiid have to take it if some probably drunk idiot pushes him ?

There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

Re: The Legend of Joel Embiid
Would love us to run a bit more action on Embiid's post ups in those possessions. A similar post split as the GSW with Ben Simmons screening for Redick would be nice. Really hard to guard without switching and if a smaller guys switches onto Ben, Embiid can simply throw it out of the reach of the defender when Ben cuts.
Problem is that the weakside requires good shooters to prevent helpside defense, with Bayless, Covington and Saric the options are extremely limited.

I think sometimes its not accepted what we actually have, and instead looking at a team like GS and think we should be doing just like them. We aren't GS, and noone in the league right now is GS. We have to deal with our team, and what we do best. GS wishes they had a guy like Embiid and Simmons, all we can do is build off our strengths instead of pointing out what other teams are doing.
Curry, KD, and Klay all shoot over 41% from 3 right now....they could be one of the greatest 3pt shooting teams ever. If we keep wanting to compare ourselves to them when we don't even have a single guy that is shooting over 41% from 3, well you will be beating yourself up for a long time.

Wait, what? I'm not asking Simmons and/or Embiid to bomb threes. This is a set that enhances movement and occupies defenses in a post set so that Embiid will have less troubles with double teams, in additions it specifically fits the qualities of our stars (Embiid as a post presence, and Simmons being a huge and coordinated cutter). This could have been a set from the Kings and I would have said the same.

Fair enough. The Kings couldn't run it like the Warriors can, and I have to wonder if we could also. Like you said, we don't really have the shooters to pull it off but at least in those clips Livingston is on the floor most of the time, along with West.
I wasn't watching the individual players, more of the sets assuming it was the big 4 running it. I agree with you now, if they can run that with those players and lineups, we can too....thats on BB.
