He's single-handedly putting them out of contention tho.

Like, having Jokic is like a one on a century luck **** happening and he's wasting it.

Not heart broken over not paying KCP 22M/year. Way too much for a solid but unspectacular role player.

The one thing I've noticed about Denver is that they draft extremely well. Jokic, Murray, and then their new additions Braun, Watson. I think Julian Strawther steps in and becomes a player for them now that KCP is gone. De'Ron Holmes. That team just knows how to draft and I give their GM props for having the balls to let guys go. Bruce Brown and now KCP. Some might call him crazy for doing it, but I think as long as Denver has Murray, Gordon, and Jokic in the mix, they are always going to be Finals material. Like I said, I think Julian Strawther steps right into the KCP role next season.

Doesnt make sense to have Paul Reed now. We have the option to get him off our salary cap right?

Sounds like BS spin to CYA by the Nuggets. If they offered basically the same amount and years he would have stayed.

Maybe their GM shouldn’t have said “we’ll be fine without KCP” on the eve of free agency

Yep. We can cut him straight up or trade him for a player up to $15M
They say an analytics man doesn't have a heart, but I ran the numbers and nothing can be further from the truth - Sam Hinkie probably

Yeah, can be traded or waived. His contract is not guaranteed. No way he's coming back after the Drummond signing.

Yes but might wait to see how we could possible use him in a trade instead. Klay S&T?

I think they may wait for PG13’s commitment and then make a trade. With Embiid, Drummond, and Bona - we’re set at the 5

I'm mid on KCP. I would have been fine with it, but I'm not heartbroken that he went to Orlando. It's not going to work out there for him. They still don't have a halfcourt creator on that team and no point guard to speak of. Jalen Suggs and him will make a formidable defensive tandem in the backcourt, but offensively unless Fraz Wagner or Banchero take over the duties of playmaker (which is possible), it's not going to be good for KCP. I'm sorry, but 9-10 ppg with little to no offensive creation just isn't going to get it. He'll be asked to do more than he can handle there. I'm not hating on Orlando, I just don't see where he fits.

Is the $15 million thing only while they stay under the cap or even down the line after they've used it all....?

Ok, all this talk about trading Reed. Is there any outside chance at all that he slides over to power forward? I mean that has always seemed like his more natural position. Unfortunately he's got what could be the ugliest three-point shot in the entire league. Damn I wish he could stretch the floor and shoot! He'd be perfect next to Embiid.

So who are some worthwhile ring chasers that could suddenly/finally be interested in coming to Philly for the minimum if we get George? I feel like that addition would officially make us a destination city

Lol I’ll be honest I’m kind of old. I’m not much of an analytic guy.
