Are you really kidding here? Have you been oblivious of what has happened this past week? Still blaming Hinkie for what's going on now? WOW

No need to take sides on this one.....they both deserve blame.

And if this was Hinkie doing this NYS would be barbecuing him. It is fine to not like Hinkie, and it is entirely possible that BC will pull off a good trade, but his current shenanigans are shamefully amateurish looking. I am just hoping the result is better than the optics here.

because of his actions (and lack thereof) over the course of the last week.

You'd be killing Hinkie if did all of this (and of course people would be defending him to...to be fair)

I'm annoyed with Colangelo's silence for most of the year...and we are doomed to fail with Harris

I don't normally get angry about basketball because it is just a sport, but the lack of details about Simmons and the handling of Okafor is upsetting.

Back to Okafor....it's hard to trade someone who's got knee issues and other teams know you have to trade him

Said yesterday I don't think a deal was ever close based off the evidence.

1. Woj would have reported it. He's been dead quiet on the Sixers front for over a week.

2. Brett Brown spoke about it publicly. That never happens. Tells me they wanted the public to know? Why. To try and bait a team into making a deal. And you wouldn't need to do that if you were close.

3. You don't shake hands with personnel unless a deal officially went down. It was just weird. The fact Okafor did that so people at the arena could see it makes me believe it was a desperate charade by Colangelo to give off the impression he was about to deal him to get a team to up their offer thinking he's about to trade him elsewhere.

4. Every beat writer for the respective rumored teams said their teams are not close to acquiring Okafor. So logic tells you the rumors had to come from somewhere. If it's not coming from Bulls sources or Pelicans sources, it's coming from..... the person with the biggest motivate to put it out there. Hint: has a dad who is also employed by the Sixers.

Just follow what makes sense, and you can cut around the fatty rumors pretty easily.

How has BC handled the Okafor situation so badly? They thought a trade was close...I wouldn't have played him either.

In regards to Embiid and Simmons, I agree...very poor communication

you don't openly talk about a trade until it is a near lock to happen.

He talked **** and then 2 days went by and nothing happened....

also his treatment of Jah now looks really really bad....

If thats the case if all these guys are so hurt just sit them out than smh I'm fed up...You don't sit a player out for trade and than don't trade him...This is why I really think we must of had something lined up with either Denver or Portland and wanted too much.

Didn't Brown talk about the trade? and how do you know it wasn't a near lock?

I don't think so, that's what physicals are for after the trade is over. I could see a trade being nixed because of a failed physical, but I doubt it would affect something before hand.

Lol messiah, I would bash Hinkie or whoever that is doing what BC is doing now. Only reason I want Hinkie back is to see him finish what he build and I don't think he would've done what BC has done this week. Hinkie wouldn't make a joke of this situation to tip his hand as BC has done. Talk about experience lol.

It's time to place blame where it belongs... ownership. For putting bad people in places where they don't belong. Time for Josh to sell the shiny toy for a tidy profit and scurry back to suburban NY and his hockey team.

I agree but you forgot to blame the league (Adam) also. They forced Jerry onto Josh so now it makes the league look bad too.

If I'm Brett Brown, I'm in Okafor's ear telling him "you wanna get traded and have a chance to start in this league? Then destroy the Celtics pathetic frontcourt for a 30 and 12 game. Go HAM like you seem to think you can and make teams want you". I'm not hopeful though.

Then he certainly shouldn't play against the Celtics, right?
