I think Ainge and Magic are just yanking each others chain. Its just funny how the media hasnt said a word about Jackson to Bos till LAL comes out theyre interested in him.

*edit*
I know youve been saying this for weeks now

Chad Ford is Danny Ainge's personal lap dog. He doesn't have to speculate on what Boston is going to do. Ainge gives him news to break. I think the timing of this is to condition the fanbase to accept that they aren't taking Fultz.

Yeah if Ainge doesnt take Fultz most of that fan base is going jump from the TD center

McGrady beat Fultz in a game of 1 on 1. I've never liked Fultz, he just has no physical advantage for the NBA game just like DLo.

I'm very comfortable with him at three; the only issue I have is not addressing the guard spot, especially given the unknown of next years draft class. If we do get Isaac we'll have to go hard in free agency at a quality guard.

I don't think Fultz is as athletic as Jamaal Murray and I don't think he's anywhere near the shooter. Overall I don't think he'll be any better than Murray in the NBA.

I like him. I think 5 years down the road him or DSJ are going to be the best players in this draft

Draft Monk at 3, sign KCP to a max deal. Trade Okafor to Chicago for a mid 1st and pick a Center as insurance to Embiid.

Monk/ KCP/ RoCo/ Sim/ Biid

If Josh Jackson went 1st overall it could change the dynamic of the first 5 picks. Josh Jackson if he went 1st, than obviously the Sixers can't take him. My mock draft from the start has Fox going 3rd pick so i'll stick with that. Assuming the lakers took Ball at 2, Fultz could drop to 4th?

If Jackson goes 1(which he won't) and the Lakers take Ball at 2, Fultz will be picked by the Sixers so fast, Woj wouldn't even be able to break the pick on Twitter. There is absolutely 0 chance the Sixers would pass on Fultz if he's there at 3.

Hopefully he's conditioning the Boston fanbase to accept a trade as the lesser of two evils.

"We like him a lot," the Celtics source said about Jackson. "But we like several guys a lot. We've got a week to figure it out."

I think everyone, including Boston, wants the 5 and 10 from Sacramento and figure Josh Jackson is the one Vlade will pay for. Boston can even throw in Demetrius Jackson, maybe even Rozier. Jonathan Isaac (and Zach Collins at #10) is their real target, I believe.

Coincidentally, Isaac has refused to work for teams past four, which is very interesting considering Fultz, Ball, Jackson, and Fox have gotten more media juice.

"What I tell teams, I'm always in the gym," said Fox. "Kentucky was just a bad year shooting for me. I shot the ball well from the free throw line, that’s one thing a lot of people really look at. I don’t really know why—I’ve never been a bad shooter, but I did have a bad year. I’m going to work on it. I’m already used to the NBA three, been shooting it well during workouts. Honestly, only time can tell. I’m gonna to have to prove it in games."

I love this draft. I too was surprised he shot THAT poorly. He was my favorite coming to the season. Not that I thought he was above average, but he did bang ten threes in one game his senior year.

Isaac must have a good agent. He's a top 5 prospect in this Draft, and probably doesn't want to go to to Sacramento or Orlando. I wouldn't either.

Fultz may be the worst top prospect to pair with Simmons. Fultz is a pick & roll player, anything outside of that and you aren't getting full value out of your investment. Fultz's pick & roll needs will clash with Ben's Lebroneque spread isolation. Sure Fultz can theoretically be a floor spacer, but who drafts that out of a guard with a top pick? You want a guard that can iso.

Only working out for the top four used to mean you were promised at #5. I think "promise" is way too strong. But I think his agent is collaborating with Ainge. Boston is a great situation for Isaac, a winning team with a void in the frontcourt. Isaac gets drafted a slot or two higher than he would otherwise, and Boston doesn't want Isaac getting hurt working out for other teams.

If Boston and Sac don't look like they'll get a deal done, Isaac will workout for Minnesota and Orlando next week.

Just speculating.
