Cool...So for a couple minutes, Pat Bev is going to hound Kyle Lowry IF they even match up with each other.

It would be so funny if they dont even see the court together in the 10 mins that each player has.

It's like Skates wrote earlier:

Skates wrote:Pat Bev is not a very talented player and has self made a career by hard work and intensity that feed off the chip on his shoulder, and when there isn't something putting him down or challenging him, he makes that boogeyman exist in his mind and mouth. He rarely leaves a team without tossing shade behind him and hey, it works for him, but in the end his commentary when he is in a mood that feels dissed is not to be taken as some messiah or prophet of basketball speaking, just an angry little man who likes being the underdog.

The smack talking reminds me of what Henry Kissinger once supposedly said about academia, that “The reason that university politics is so vicious is because stakes are so small."

Reminds me also of the following, classic Key & Peele sketches. The real action is on the court with the stars and contenders, but the dawgs in the background need to give themselves a reason to keep going. And I guess I can respect that.

While watching Celtics games, I noticed how spaced out their floor is and how many 3-point shots they take. Matchup-wise, I have an entire write-up about it, and I think we can match up with them.

However, what scares me is the power of the 3-point shot, also known as the "math game."

Then I checked the Nuggets, and I was quite surprised that they didn't attempt as many 3s last season and in this season.

It's quite a contrast to see teams focusing on bombing 3s while the Nuggets run an elite offense and don't take as many 3s.

I'm not reaching any conclusions; I'm just trying to dig deep into the game.

In the 2022-2023 season, the Denver Nuggets attempted 3-pointers as follows:
- Regular Season: 32 attempts (25th out of 30 teams)
- Playoffs: 30 attempts (15th out of 16 teams)

In the 2023-2024 Regular season:
- Sixers attempted 31.6 3-point shots (25th)
- Nuggets attempted 31.1 3-point shots (28th)

Top offenses this season:
1. Celtics - 1st in 3PA
2. Clippers - 19th in 3PA
3. Pacers - 12th in 3PA
4. Thuner - 16th in 3PA
5. Bucks - 7th in 3PA
6. Knicks - 13th in 3PA
7. Sixers - 25th in 3PA
8. Suns - 26th in 3PA
9. Mavericks - 2nd in 3PA
10. Warriors - 4th in 3PA

It's just way too simplistic to focus solely on number of three point shots. Celtics' entire roster is built to bomb from three, with good to great shooters from the guard and forward spots and centers who can stretch the floor (Porzingis and Horford). But if you'd ask Celtics fan what their biggest concern is, I'd bet they would say it is the reliance on the three point shot.

Embiid is an unique player that can create efficient offense from the midrange spots, just like Jokic (way of operating from that area is different though). I do think it is clear that with Embiid out, we should shoot far more threes and play the transition game more because the lack of a great halfcourt player. A two-man game between Hield and Embiid, similar to Redick in the past, is obviously a great addition to the existing offensive sets.

Is there an injury report regarding their availability?

:D

It’s ok. Take it easy

I think all 3 of them are scheduled to return sometime this week. Roco by March 1 then Embiid by April 1.

Semi OT: Pascal Siakam is shooting 50% on corner 3s; 60% as a Pacer :o

He's taking 3 3's a game, how much of them are corner 3? one third, which means he take 1 from the corner.

That's not impressive at all.
