Saric is a great bench piece who may end up finishing games...it's amazing how quickly we've minimized Saric into Jah's level.
It's not really about "minimizing' him versus that he isn't a big factor one way or the other to being a championship contender or not which is what my original post was in response to. Ironically as you just said yourself he is BENCH piece which is hardly noteworthy.
You might be right at this moment but if He improves his 3 pt shooting to above league average and Ben can play SF the He could be the starting PF.
Fultz/Covington/Simmons/Saric/Embiid
That's likely the line up we run with for now but that's just a starting point.
As we rise up the ranks in the next year or two there's going to be a TON of excitement and attention around this team as the next big thing. Not to mention there's a boatload of money that can be used in free agency right now!
Apparently we were interested in Otto Porter and that immediately would take this team up yet another notch.
Fultz
RoCo
Porter
Simmons
Embiid
Ridiculous length and shooting everywhere and it's only the 1st year. Not to mention guys like Paul George, Cousins, LMA, Avery Bradley, Smart etc will be FAs next off season and there's still an outside chance of Lowry this year. With all the money available and enticement of joining Fultz, Simmons and Biid you can see how quickly Saric becomes less important but yes nonetheless a good piece off the bench.
