Some of the people in this thread be like:

“Omg I hate Ben so much, he’s garbage and a mental case. I want him off my favorite team asap. He even hung out with his girlfriend, that made me so upset”

But then turns down every trade because it’s not enough.

Good times.

Well, I still like D'Angelo Russell, but only as "part" of the return for Ben. Honestly Golden State or Sacramento are where we should be focused.

Russell <
Edwards <

A Wolves deal has to be a relocation package / three team deal. There isn't one asset I want from the Wolves on my roster

True. But he’s one of the guys who has the highest chance to be a 1A among the available options.

I would trade Simmons straight up for CJ in a heartbeat.

Do you think Simmons could ever do this in a playoff game let alone a playoff game 7?

Can anyone have this type of performance in a game 7 on our team?

CJ McCollum has averaged 28.1 points, 6.2 assists and 5.0 rebounds in 33 games without Damian Lillard in his career.

He has had to lower his usage since he was playing next to a very high usage guard. That wouldn't be the situation here.

Almost the same as Ben being a 23 point triple double average in all Playoff games that Joel dosent play in.
All wins as well

All wins?

You sure about that.

I have it at 3-2 against bottom of the barrell playoff teams.

1-1 against the Josh Richardson led Heat

1-0 against the DAngelo Russell led Nets

1-1 against the Wizarda this year (Embiid left early in the game 4 while Philly was up).

Otherwise I agree of course Ben has better stats without Embiid they are both centers in the half court offense.

Thats why I want to keep Ben for a year after trading Embiid this summer, inflating his stats by playing him at center, and then selling high on Ben next summer.

Neither of these players is winning in the modern NBA at the supermax and max salary respectively for Embiid and Simmons. I want both gone just on different timelines.

We need to sell high on our assets not sell low. Sequencing of trades matters.

Sell high on Simmons is now

Coach doesn’t want him

Embiid doesn’t want him

Klutch doesn’t want him here

His family doesn’t want him here

I am a Simmons fan and even I know he’s gone

Let LeBron & Rich Paul sort it out with the Sixers

If you can get Lavine, Beal, MPJ, SGA, Fox or McCollum sure go ahead.

Otherwise pump and dump him next season since the trade market values him too low.

He has 4 years on his contract and he has no choice.

What’s wrong with that?

Can’t you want to trade him and also want a good return?

Everyone of those players makes us worse but go ahead

Simmons is gone and we’re getting scraps in return

To pump up Ben’s value:

Get a bench version of B Lopez (Stretch big doesn’t have to be great either).

Run small ball with Ben as the receiver of easy buckets. Treat him as an elite athlete with below average big man finishing skills... fine no dramas here. Point Forward seen it before.

Open it right up to start the year (Embiid might not be fit come season starter that’s cool works out both ways).

He really is a non shooting mobile PF. He took 1 I repeat one shot outside the paint in the playoffs and that was a heave lol.

So make the square peg do square peg things.

Pump him up to a 18/8/8/2 statline then go for leather on a trade :). He ups his production anyway when the big guy sits.

Brandon Ingram.

Easy three way team deal or better yet sell them on the Harris/Thybulle and pick idea and we’ll take a “bad contract” with Bledsoe. That could be tempting.

Look mate you’re getting a DPOY candidate on the wing next year, it’s a great deal for you guys can’t believe we are doing this lol.

I don't think I can handle another year of Ben + Embiid. One has to go for my sanity.

Thats a nice plan.

Im the last guy on realgm you need to sell on Brandon Ingram. People here even once tell me I hate Ben because of being an Ingram fanboy.

I’ve probably one of the earliest here to say Ingram’s gonna be better than Ben.

BUT I dont know how you guys think Pels would prefer Ben over Ingram, specially they have Zion there.

And if a player’s selling value is more because of his defense, i’ll short that stock.

Half a season my man. Ben does his usual two week before All Star vote go ham play.... little does he know Morey knows. Then boom like the thief in the night we committed highway robbery on a bunch of quality assets.

The timeline is perfecto.

Good things come to those who wait.

Been saying you have to pump Ben’s value first.

Pumping value works.

Heat was able to get Butler by pumping JRich’s value
Suns was able to get Cp3 by pumping Oubre’s value

It will work because Ben can play a lot better if you surround him with the right guys and run the stuff that can max him out. To read more of that visit the “offseason plan” thread and read what I posted
