Lebron swapping AD for Simmons would be some godfather level stuff

James would never do that because he would never sniff a conference title again, let alone a championship, if he did that.

Cam Reddish is on the market for a 1rp. I mean, I'm kinda down.

As part of a larger deal or a series of deals after Simmons heads out, I would be down for that as well.

Meh. To quote Bull Durham "he's got a million dollar arm, but a ten cent head."
To compound the problem, he's due to get paid. 2nd contracts for non-stars are almost always overpays.
Maybe if Harris was going out as part of it somehow?

Yep, this is an upside play for sure in the hopes that he figures some semblance of offensive consistency. I guess I'm just starved for athletes and players over 6'5 lol.
You stay on message without making people hate you. I appreciate that. Unfortunately, no one is taking Harris from us my guy lol.

Re: Simmons Trade Thread - The Ocho
I'd offer Thybulle for Reddish, but I think we'd need to hang onto Thybulle until the Simmons deal is done because he could be a low salary asset to grease the deal or fetch a 1st rounder to re-route in a multi-team deal.

Re: Simmons Trade Thread - The Ocho
I'd much rather us make a move for some help irrespective of Ben.
Like could we find a way to pry Grant from Detroit for Curry Green Tybulle and picks? Could we get Wood from Houston as sort of a mobile big PF/C to spell Embiid (Drummond isn't that guy)? I don't want the FO to feel pressure to make a deal to save the season and the best way to do that is sort of add other pieces rather than count on Ben coming back or bringing the talent back.
I thought Dennis was a missed opportunity this offseason. We need more scoring depth. We need a good to top end wing. We shouldn't need to trade Ben for that.

You should probably just get used to Tobias for another 2 years bro. Trust me, it goes by fast.
always a jump shot away.

AD is so much better than Ben. I'd do the trade in a second AD is nowhere near as bad as he's been for most of his career he's a top 6 player.
Of course that doesn't solve our biggest need which is a top end guard but both Embiid and AD while big guys are guys who can shoot. It won't happen in a million years but I'd do the deal.
Simmons-Lebron-Westbrook I'd pay to watch that trio play lol

At quick glance I read "LeBron swap for Simmons"...I mean, I wouldn't say no.
Maxey/Milton/Springer
Green/Curry/Joe
LeBron/Thybulle/Korkmaz
Harris/Niang/Reed
Embiid/Drummond/Bassey
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:
Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Grimes/Edgecombe/Gordon
Oubre/Edwards
George/Watford/Barlow
Embiid/Bona/Drummond/Broome

Oh I'm not saying I think it's gonna happen, but just the idea of Lebron taking one Klutch guy who sullied his reputation to go play with him just to swap him out for another would be like straight out of mafia movie.

I promise you the Lakers are trying a to push a Westbrook for Simmons deal. Even while Morey is laughing, they are still pushing it. Lakers systemic arrogance.
maybe
I would do the deal you proposed above. I just don't see LeBron approving it.
Approving it? He's the one making the deals.

Short of another bizarre setup like the shortened "bubble" season, he wouldn't have sniffed another one after the one the league gifted the Cavs.

I refuse to accept that defeatist attitude. At least as it concerns trading Tobias.

All those scenarios depend on where Tobias ends up

Somebody edit LeBron's head on to that pic of Dumars holding two phones

That team isn't winning a championship and Lebron is going to fall off a cliff soon. It could be next year or even this year. We need better than that for Simmons.
