Exactly. Kanter's emergence as a sixth man of the year candidate before he got hurt was heartening in respect to Okafor. Pretty much the same prospect, only Jah is better (48.4 DFG%, Jokic 54%). 6'11 Lou Williams.
While both may appear to be similar....they are not. Enes Kanter is a good rebounder. He has a motor and also has a mid range jumper. He can contribute positively at times because despite being a bad defender, he can score/space the floor a bit/and rebound.
Okafor does none of that. He's bad on defense, can't run the floor, doesn't rebound, doesn't play with a motor and he doesn't provide a lick of spacing on offense.
Its been said multiple times around here....Okafor would be MUCH better IF he could 1. defend or 2.rebound. You can't have a center who does not do at least 1 of those 2 traits on the floor and expect to win.
Also, why is Jokic's name sitting there? Kid has been one of the best bigs in the NBA the past few months. He is in a whole other class compared to Okafor/Kanter. He may be a poor defender, but is an elite rebounder, he can shoot/score and is also an elite passer for a big man.
