if we're talking about Bryan Colangelo botching trades, we have to naturally talk about Hinkie, who excelled at that part of his job, but was pushed out because BC was supposed to be better. He isn't better. I'm sorry the words "Sam Hinkie" are such a trigger for you, for whatever reason.

And now we have two things to worry about now that he's back:

1. Getting injured
2. Fighting Boston fans after the game.

I have never liked Josh Harris. I knew it the first time I heard him speak during Iversons retirement jersey thing or whatever it was.

Colangelo pulled a card from the bottom of the deck trying to increase Okafors trade value. Didnt work. No big deal.

No one met Colangelos reserve price for Okafor and he did the right thing by pulling him back and not giving him away.

Well done Colagelo. And dont listen to the radio tomorrow. Those blowhards are going to have a meltdown

Agree with this, except for the name calling.

I think accepting a bad deal will get him worse criticism.

Most GM falls trap when they get pressured(see Hennigan or BC's last days as Raptors GM). And I hope BC don't mess up being Sixers GM.

If you think it's a bad deal, then don't do it just because you got to emotionally pressured.

I guess it depends on the pick, IMO. If it's a heavily protected pick, then I wouldn't do it either. As far as yanking Okafor, it was a stupid move, but one I'd expect from this GM.

Also, reminds me of this:

Thats not a great look from the GM that promised better optics, communication and transparency.
They say an analytics man doesn't have a heart, but I ran the numbers and nothing can be further from the truth - Sam Hinkie probably

Let me guess, Colangelo wont be in Boston tonight and it will be Brett Brown and Jahlil Okafor having to sit there in front of the mic answering questions. **** joke.

Neither Hinkie or Colangelo make themselves available, however when Hinkie did speak on record he seemed honest and the worst of it was him telling us what we didn't want to hear. Colangelo seems to just lie and only tells us what we want to hear - which may also be lies.

Exactly. Kanter's emergence as a sixth man of the year candidate before he got hurt was heartening in respect to Okafor. Pretty much the same prospect, only Jah is better (48.4 DFG%, Jokic 54%). 6'11 Lou Williams.

At this point, I kind of feel like the Sixers should just trade him to the Pels for Ajinca and the lottery protected 1st. I know the value is weak at best, but damn. Do the kid a solid and try to correct your PR issues, and just take a pick in 2018 in the 15-20 range and move on. Nobody is giving you any better than a mid-1st for him now, especially after this mess.

Either that, or trade Noel now for as much value as you can get, and keep Okafor to play when Embiid needs rest.

still waiting on an explanation and realistic timetable on Jah's recurrent knee issue. at least Keith is now asking that question.

Do nothing, and just pretend this didn't happen. Wait until draft night when everyone knows what's available. And who's not going to draft more than a 'project' at center. And as one poster mentioned, let him come off the bench in a backup role to Noel until - and if - Embiid returns. In the interim, heed the advice of Emily Co…langello.

Maybe the Jah deal involves the Kings pick from.Bulls, but Bulls went cold feet after Kings kept winning with the likelihood for the pick to convey

While both may appear to be similar....they are not. Enes Kanter is a good rebounder. He has a motor and also has a mid range jumper. He can contribute positively at times because despite being a bad defender, he can score/space the floor a bit/and rebound.

Okafor does none of that. He's bad on defense, can't run the floor, doesn't rebound, doesn't play with a motor and he doesn't provide a lick of spacing on offense.

Its been said multiple times around here....Okafor would be MUCH better IF he could 1. defend or 2.rebound. You can't have a center who does not do at least 1 of those 2 traits on the floor and expect to win.

Also, why is Jokic's name sitting there? Kid has been one of the best bigs in the NBA the past few months. He is in a whole other class compared to Okafor/Kanter. He may be a poor defender, but is an elite rebounder, he can shoot/score and is also an elite passer for a big man.

Our Bloggers and non-traditional sports media are excellent. I wish the same could be said for our beat writers, ownership, and management.
