Two of LeBron's last three tweets have been about Lonzo Ball.

He has a 8.9 PER, - WS/48, - BPM, 0.0 VORP.

Thats not pretty well. He's played pretty well when it comes to distributing the ball everything else has been terrible thats not to say he'll continue to be where he is now for his entire career or even the entire season.

But I don't think anyone can look at his play objectively and think that he's done well upto this point.

Yeah, if you are a sixers fan and you want Lebron I think you hope he continues to watch ball.

Because if he isn't watching Magic can go into a meeting and sell him on the players. It's actually a tremendous skill of magic people like him and he's sort of one of those people with a million dollar smile who can convince you - you really needed those heated leather seats after all.

It's much harder sell though when you see it for yourself. So yeah I think Ball will bust. I hope he watches every game.

How low must your bar be to think Lonzo has played well. LoL

If Lonzo has played well, healthy Fultz is a HoFer.

Ball has had a few bad games or bad stretches but overall I think you should be encouraged.

I don't think he's a bust but I also don't think he's shown anything to make the best player in the world want to play with him.

He is a kid. He has had a few good games and a few bad ones. I think he has shown the tremendous potential that we knew he had, as well as tremendous flaws which we knew he had.

Washington declined an option on Chris McCullough.
Orlando declined an option on Mario Hezonja.

Both are plus athletes with theoretical shooting skill.

We might as well see if we can swap busts with them and see if they'll take Jah. We're not getting a pick for him and will likely wind up waiving him.

I think that they could have Hezonja today if they wanted him. They probably chose the cap space over him.

Ball isn't a bust but you have to compare him relative to his draft position and the other players taken after him in the draft. This is a FANTASTIC draft and I think in a re-draft right now he would even go in the top 10. Its not a stretch right now to say he's not going to end up the second best player from this draft; its a fact he's a reach at number 2 in the draft, he's not even the best rookie on his own team let alone the second best rookie in the entire league.

I think that the Lakers take him 2nd overall again in a heartbeat.

He has what they need as an organization, and they just need to be patient with him.

With the clueless Magic Johnson as GM, I agree with you

Who do you think would have been a better pick?

Ball is exactly what they need. You could argue Jackson, but he hasn’t been great either.

Smith, or Tatum make no sense.

Ball is a pure point guard with allstar potential.

The only two things I really see Lonzo struggling with right now are his three point shot and his finishing at the rim.

Surely, he's going to raise his impossibly low 37% finishing rate as the season goes on. The three point stroke will probably creep into the low 30's, as well.

Time will reveal how talented this kid is.

I would take Fox over Ball in a heartbeat right now.

De'Aaron Fox has a 45% true shooting percentage and his defense has been outright pathetic.

Dennis Smith has a 44% true shooting percentage, is a pitiful defender and has the worst VORP in the entire draft so far.

Malik Monk has a 39% true shooting percentage and literally does nothing else on the court by shoot the basketball.

Why are people salivating over Lonzo's early shooting percentage shortcomings when (literally) all of these 20 year old Gs look like trash?

Let's let it all play out. These kids aren't physically, emotionally, or mentally ready for the pro game out of the gate. It takes time to adjust. Let's at least evaluate them on a 10 chunk of games basis.

He struggled with finishing at the rim in college, can’t run the p n r, and how is he getting that shot off against NBA defenders? Unless he pulls a Ryan Anderson and shoots it from 5ft behind the line
