While I agree with you, Ben's upside is what allures teams. Additionally, he is the first marketable All-Star that would be on the Pacers since Paul George.
LeVert, Sabonis, Ben, Turner, and Brissett would be enough to make them a top 5 seed in the East.
You’re not wrong, which is why I could see something like Brogdon and like two picks for Simmons. But you’ve got guys on here suggesting close to Harden Level packages for him, throwing in multiple pick swaps, the whole nine. Hell, Ben’s value wasn’t even that high before his latest meltdown, it’s just ridiculously homery at this point. Teams don’t care that we’re in a tough spot, that Joel’s window is closing, or that he’s our last chip to try to parlay in to a championship, his worth is his worth.
It’s getting annoying as hell. They aren’t “holding out for a superstar” and they also aren’t straight up holding him all year. Morey will pivot, start listening to offers, get some semblance of a bidding war going and move him for a pretty decent package before opening night.
Harden and Butler were moved within the first 10 games
If Ben is still on the Sixers approaching the deadline, there’s very little chance that Morey will be
