The skills challenge isn't a basketball game. The Rookie game and All-star game aren't back-to-backs.

So? I want him to use this period to rest. I get that it's all fun and stuff, but it feels weird to have a player who can't play in a game on Wednesday to play in these unnecessary exhibition events. I'm fine with the All-Star game for limited minutes, but would have rejected the other two tbh.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he sat the Rising Stars game. The skills challenge is less intense than a Sixers practice.

He's 23 and it's his first all star, let the kid have fun. It's a one in a lifetime experience and he's not even going to break a sweat.

Some of you take all of this too seriously.

Perhaps I do overestimate it. I don't know to be honest, I absolute hate these kind of American non-competitive showoff things. Do think this is the perfect time to rest his hand, he's been bothered by it since early January?

As an european, I also don't like it, I'm just gonna watch the highlights on monday.

A weekend of training with the team is wearier for his hand than 20 minutes jogging, two dunks and a few sprints.

I don't think you overestimate it, I really don't want him playing in that first game at all and the ankle injury gives him an excuse.

Saying its a once in a lifetime experience for Jojo is a bit of an overstatement. Healthy, he will be there for the next decade.

Relax as if Embiid can and will throw down alleyoops. Knowing him, he’d just be chucking 3s and shoot face up jumpers that you wont recognize the difference between him and LMA. And maybe a non violent dream shake or two.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

Exactly. Probably less intense than a shoot-around. He'll expend more energy in the stands, high-fiving during the Dunk contest.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

Maybe the swelling in his ankle went down? It's certainly something that can heal in 4/6 days.

It only really becomes an issue if he's sitting out games when they come back from break. So I'll worry about it then.

Feel like he wouldn't play much tonight even if there were no issues.

Embiid should just coach the world team.

Probably, or they could trot Brad Stevens out there and play Jojo for 40 mins.

Biid sound smart with how he discussed if MJ is the goat or not. He talked about him looking at clips and the numbers and saying he believe otherwise. Biid also discussed how he faired against smaller lineups and how team lebron won it with their end game line-up.

Embiid was the only Steph starter with a positive + /- and yet he played the fewest number of minutes. Was he given a minute restriction due to his ankle? The coach's line-ups were idiotic towards the end. The match was exciting, but it was not fun watching the other four starters brick shot after shot (about 20% for 3PA), while Klay, Embiid and Lillard were not rewarded with more minutes.

It looks and sounds like Embiid wowed all the other all-stars with his presence and play during the game.

I wonder what relationship building he did throughout the weekend and with whom.

From the few interactions that were captured on camera that I saw, it seems like he was closest with Kyle Lowry. Unfortunately, that doesn't help us.

Sounds like a solid recruiting mission. The Trash Bro's were loving Embiid last year too.

I have a gut feel that Ben and Jojo made some recruiting for LBJ.

Or maybe he was just enjoying his time and not give a crap about recruiting.

you know Simmons and LBJ were chilling at some point that weekend. Dinner, wine afterward, whatever. "Hey Bron, let me introduce ya to 'The Process' himself... "

They aren't stupid, Ben and Jojo know who is available, we are talking about Lebron fukin James here.....not some scrub. Bron is actually a very intelligent person. Noone is that stupid to not know he can be had for next season.

If they didn't talk, I would be disappointed in Jojo as we already know Ben and Bron talk regularly.
