Don't mind? It's the only final series I'd have any real interest in watching.

And the bonus is that's it would be Silver's worst nightmare.

Hahaha no.. im just seeing in social media where they say its a nightmare for the NBA. Actually i dont mind this match-up

This is my favorite part, You know the league wants Lakers-Celtics. Denver and Miami both flipping the league office the finger simultaneously is just awesome.

I remember the Boston board after Game 5, and I don't know if I've already referenced this... but their fans were saying "our only hope is that Philly outchokes us". And that's exactly what happened.

Boston had that game won last night... and then Miami dropped them on the table and the Celtics shriveled up and cowered in the corner. They are not a clutch team either, beating Sister Katherine's Shrinking Violets here proved nothing.

A Heat-Nuggets series would be fascinating.

Funny thing about last night's game - while it's true that Williams "poked the bear", it was his presence that ignited the Celtics in the second half. After that incident, he still hit a clutch layup and a dunk off a feed from Tatum before Mazzulla took him out, and from there the Celtics collapsed.

I see a lot of people trashing Williams this morning, and Jaylen Brown said "no comment" when asked about it after the game, which to me shows how weak the Celtics are mentally, that they disapproved of a player showing some fire like that. Williams' presence in the second half was the only time the Celtics looked good in this series, IMO.

I wonder if he said “next question” more because he thought it was a stupid question. He looked a little dumbfounded and was shaking his head when he said it. Brown seems like a smart dude, I’d imagine he’s not one to throw a teammate under the bus mid series.

Agreed, it could go either way. You're probably right, but it was revealing that Mazzulla got Williams out of the game while he was one of the only contributors offensively.

True, no question he's a bad coach. They should have beaten us in 5 anyway but they were tired from blowing the Hawks series and needed a minute to let them catch their breath (which we gave them after game 1). They have slept walked through the playoffs aside from a few big games. The only reason they're still in it is because our team was somehow even less inspired which is saying something.

We are a special breed lol.

I also remember dozens of posts claiming had Kawhi's buzzer beater not fallen that we would've handled Milwaukee and then all of GS's injuries would've occurred exactly the same as they did therefore we would've hoisted the Larry O'Brien.

The game was tied, so even if Kawhi misses that shot, the games goes to OT, you know, in Toronto and with Embiid being very tired. Yeah we would've definitely lost that game either way, but there was some chance because we had Butler, but Simmons was also a huge hindrance soo...

This series has shown me how important coaching is. I always knew the 76ers were operating at a deficit with Doc, in the playoffs, but I never knew how much until now. And for people talking about how bad Joe Mazzulla is cut the guy some slack. He has gone from an assistant coach to coaching a team that went to the NBA finals last year. If you are going to make a coaching change of a team with that much potential you usually bring in a head coach with a lot more experience. Playoff experience at that.
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way.

Embiid should be forced to present the Finals MVP Award to Jokic.

Nick Nurse is gonna get PAID. I have to imagine he’s going to be the #1 choice for 4 different teams with championship aspirations & legit MVP candidates.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
