Sure. That's certainly true.

not GMs

Colangelo was definitely bad luck.

How have we not had luck with GM's? The 76ers have had one truly competent GM in my entire lifetime. We've had the worst GM of all time (BK) and the most embarrassing GM of all time (BC) during that span.

Elton is still TBD but it is certainly trending down.

We’ve also had the best GM of all time ;)

Hello?

Bojan is much more athletic than Tobias and a way better defender.

I've had a crush on Bojan for a while now and would love love love to pick him up.

A 30 year old Bojan is more athletic than a 26 year old Tobias?

correlation = non-existent

RPM stats say otherwise. They show Bojan as a poor defender and worse than Tobias who is mediocre.

But that doesn't matter, he's still a much better value at ~ $20M/yr as opposed to Tobias at the MAX of $32M/yr.

Goodbye Furkan.

Too bad. I think he can become a good player. He showed flashes last year and is still only 21 years old.

He just doesn't fit our rushed "must win now" timeline.

Looks like he's coming East.

Him going to the Nets is good for us. Makes GS highly vulnerable in the future in a finals matchup. Plus he'll never be the same coming off that injury, so it will hamper the Nets too. And he won't even play next year.

All good.

I guess what I’m trying to say is I think the Sixers put themselves in the position to have bad GMs they just didn’t catch a bad break. They ran a mockery of a GM search and hired a dude with no experience. They put themselves in the position to potentially have a GM in over his head by doing so. Now if they conducted a legit search and hired someone highly regarded like Mike Zarren or something I’d agree with you.

It’s like wanting a nice kind girl to settle down with and dating someone who has prior convictions. Then when she goes crazy on you, you say “damn, I alwahs have the worst luck with girls.” No, maybe stop dating psychopaths and you’ll find a nice girl.

Kevin Durant going to the Nets also means they will renounce D'Angelo Russell and he'll become an UFA.

I'm highly interested in bringing him here in place of Butler or Harris. Helps financially and resets our window of contention for the long term as Russell, Simmons, and Embiid are only 23, 23, and 25 years old next year.

Russell opens up a larger age related window but also carries a wide band of outcomes. He could become a Harden-lite, or he could be a net negative player in the playoffs.

The positive view is that he's already a good shooter and great passer and playing with Embiid and Simmons would offer him less defensive attention and that he could increase his finishing at the rim and his FT rate.

I view him as more of a finished product than his age indicates though. I think he's close to optimal right now and don't think he's worth a max.

Very interested to see who else would be offering Harris a max deal if the Nets are out.

Jazz and Pacers were other options but they’re probably out too.

I'm guessing Shake is going to be signed for real, so Shayok and... who for the other 2-way contract?

I don't see the big surprise. The owners line their pockets like this every single year.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

The Pacers have the money.

Possible, they just traded for Warren though. I assume they’ll want to get some guard play since it seems like Oladipo is gonna miss a decent chunk of the season.

The King's also have max money available and need a replacement for Harrison Barnes.
