I hope so.

I think Nets is on the top of his list. But Sixers is also part of the list.

I’d also imagine Morey knows the Rox well that he thinks he can get Harden without giving up Biid or Ben. So the Rox had to create the stage for Morey to be pressured to hand over Ben.

It’s not just 2 dimensional now. You have to consider that if Morey doesn’t give in, Nets will ruin our championship hopes atleast for the short term.

Right, that's the only piece of the column that wasn't an editorial. It may be 100% true but it's not new reporting - it's repeating what Woj/Shams said yesterday.

Seems a step more definitive?

Have you watched moneyball?

He’s gonna turn Buddy Hield and Patty Mills into Harden.

That’s where his magic is.

While I'm not shocked there isn't like a huge flow of trades like it's free agency or something, I am little surprised there aren't more trades that teams had in the hopper. You figure more stuff would have been agreed to in the last 8 months. Maybe teams are figuring that there's no rush to let other teams know what they are doing yet.

Woj's language in that tweet is absolutely bizarre. Brooklyn is "rising to top of (Harden's) list?" Doesn't that mean that they're not at the top of his list of preferred destinations right now? Shouldn't the story be whatever team is at the top of his list?

I mean you're kind of doing it to yourself by following all these unverified twitter accounts and entertainment shows like that one instead of hard news like Woj or Shams or the beat writers.

I'm not gonna watch that but any Harden trade not involving Simmons doesn't seem very realistic and neither does the Sixers trading Simmons so I wouldn't get too excited.

I still dont believe that Levert, Allen etc can get Harden. Regardless, it doesnt really makes sense for the Nets as the team fit would be terrible. Trading Kyrie+ for Harden is more likely to happen (i would still reject it as Houston as Kyrie is overrated) and allows them to build a more sensible team.

Only way I see it happening is if they give the Rockets unprotected picks and swaps for as far out as is allowed. Which would be something given the Nets history of trying something like that.

Houston wants a star?

Who is going to be the DeMar Derozan fake star that is going to be sent back? Judging by this league's history, I'm guessing Khris Middleton, thus pairing the last two MVPs together.

ooooh thats spicy. That is the perfect fake star to lure a dope.

I honestly think you've hit the nail on the head in terms of trade construction. Star for Star is so terribly rare and it's almost always a fake star for a real one.

OKC really just wanted out of his contract. They took a terribly low ball offer and ran with it just because of the money they would save.

Is that a low ball offer? 2 expirings that they can probably flip and a 2022 first feels like a pretty good deal to me.
