Or cut out MIA and just do:

George + #3

for

Markkanen + #5

Lauri's value has really cratered in the last year and he has 4 years left on his deal whereas PG has only 3.

I sent Paul to Miami because I figured he would complain about going to Utah. Maybe I'm wrong?

And Utah was blatantly tanking from the jump last year. Willing to mostly overlook Lauri's year due to that. But I agree his value is definitely down, which is why I thought Utah could be a good trade partner.

His flight to LA would be 3 hours less from Utah than from Philly. I'm sure they'd tell him to just rehab his value and they'll trade him to a contender once they get any kind of reasonable offer. PG got his bag, that's what was important to him.

If we get Noa Essengue with the #11 pick I'm in.

A straight deal with Utah makes a lot more sense. I'd do that immediately.

Brooklyn
Kelly Oubre
Andre Drummond
Eric Gordon
#3 overall
#35 overall

Sixers
Cam Johnson
#8 overall
#19 overall
#29 overall (or wherever NYK lands)

Gives us a 3/4 that can play at a high level next to PG/Embiid, with also a focus on bringing in more young depth. Offload older guys and sign Grimes + Yabu

Also gives us 3 opportunities to draft mid-late 1st round (which I trust with our scouting department to hit 1-2 of those picks). For example can grab Maluach, Fleming, Lendeborg).

Maxey Grimes PG Johnson Embiid
McCain Edwards Fleming Yabu Maluach
Butler Lendeborg Bona

You probably don't unless you're trading them and assets for an upgrade. They were trying to trade them at the trade deadline and couldn't and they're opting in indicating nobody wants them.

You may as well just keep them on the bench. Maybe they are fine with Drummond being the hopefully third string center and Gordon being a situational three point shooter.

At worst, they are your 11th, 12th men on the bench that can be used as salary filler and I don't think they impact cap space outside of taking up roster spots and costing ownership a few more bucks.

Just saw the Blazers are for sale. That complicates trades with them that have lots of salary moving around.

8, 19, NYK 27, PHI 28, and Cam for Drummond, Oubre, Gordon, and 3.

I would do that. Not sure if BKN would.

What does ORL have to add to get you to say yes to Maxey and 3 for Franz, 16, and 25?

Orlando has swap rights with their pick next year for the lesser of PHX/WSH. That could easily end up a lotto pick.

Never happen. Maxey isn’t going anywhere. Adding 3 is just an insult.

These people just want Maxey gone. It's sickening.

Any deal that doesn't include moving mainly George and/or Embiid, and is predicated in any way on them as part of the plan moving forward is a straight no for me.

The only value of Gordon, Drummond, and probably Oubre next season is their potential value as expirings at the deadline.
