The odds of the Top-3 in the NBA Draft being Dallas, San Antonio, and Philadelphia in that order was 0.0114%.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

We could always try to trade up from #3 to #1. Worked out well last time.

Signing multiple year max extensions to two rapiding declining players then sucking all season to lose your pick it's too much of a hit for any fanbase. Plus we are a big market who's going to transition to a new arena soon. A new arena we made sure the NBA was ok with.
It's unlikely they give us Flagg, because it's not like we are starving for talent or some kind of hope, and we also don't deserve such big of a prize. But i don't see it's good business to make us lose our pick, they are going to make sure we keep it (i hope at least lol).
That being sayed, if they really want Flagg to make noise quick, we are a good destination, great basketball fit, big market and a team that if everything goes right could contend as early as his rookie season.
So i was 100% right. Disgusting and evident rigging by the NBA giving Dallas the #1pick,it's clear it was part of the Luka deal. Also they made sure we keep our pick.
Dallas was an even better destination for Flagg business wise, make those Dallas fan feel hope again, and he's going to play in a good team that can make noise from day one. Plus it's a great basketball fit.

Least we kept our pick.
Noway Dallas trades that pick, and I do like Morey making the pick. I figure it will be Ace, but VJ is attractive.
Dallas getting Flagg is very disturbing.

IMO nervous money is standing pat and taking a mediocre prospect. This is a free top level asset the Sixers have been gifted. They need to maximize it.

The NBA needs to go to the NHL lottery model if they don't want to be mocked about it's process. It's obviously rigged. We were part of the "in" group so we benefited but this is embarrassing for the league. I don't think they care though.

This. Pick Bailey or Harper. Consider nothing else

For this team, I do want Ace. Harper is kinda redundant, but he would be cool too.
We really need a long guy who can rebound, and Ace is that guy moving PG to the 3.

Why even post the ten-thousandeth number? Because it's a 4 and not a 1 or 0?

Right, Edgecombe (who is also in play) and Harper are guards, but have real size and Maxey is better off the ball than on it.... But when they make their evaluations... Just get a star and figure it out later. Considering he drafted McCain after the season Maxey had his first all star season... That seems to be Moreys way of doing things, and it's the best way. The NBA draft has proven over and over again... that's the way to do it.

We got really lucky to be in the top 4 for this draft, what I was hoping for to happen. Only trade i could see happening for us would be a Flagg thing, but that would cost a fortune.
Wings do win alot, and we have the ability to get one. The Spurs are really a wild card, they should move on from Paul and go for a Harper/Fox backcourt. We will see, but I doubt they will go for Ace. Harper could fit, but with McCain, a trade might have to happen.
Either way, we need rebounding and blocking a shot.

Re: If We Lose Our Pick....
Statistics can be funny. It’s pretty amazing how often 2% teams have moved up in a relatively small sample size. It’s not rigged though.
Just think of it logically Could you imagine the pain the NBA would face if it came out this was rigged? Risking millions of dollars for exactly what? To make sure Cooper Flagg goes to Dallas? What? How often do picks behind 1 end up being better players anyway. It’s not worth it. We know some players bet on games, refs have been involved in gambling,
Etc, but rigging games/draft position by the league is a net negative for outcomes. Just not worth it.

Taking Cooper's twin at #3 would be a poor decision.

I think it's funny the NBA has plants on message boards talking about how their lottery is not rigged.
It's sports entertainment. We get it.

Agree, I just think Daryl & this team is more likely to maximize value by selecting their BPA rather than a trade. Morey’s track record on the trade market (in Philly) is much worse than in the draft.

The guys at 3 all have too much downside and not enough chance to hit their upside, especially on a team where they will absorb habits, even inadvertently, from Embiid and George.
The guys we should want will be all be available farther down, where you can get additional assets to select them.

We can probably just lock this thread up since the Sixers did not lose their pick, yeah?
