People that dislike Andre look for any nugget of information to disparage him. It's like the Anti-Iverson. We have fans that seem like they are fans only to disparage Andre.

Anyone who really thinks a comparison of Andre to Sam young is a valid point or has any truth in it is an idiot. I could go on and on about how stupid this is but I'll just do one. Iguodala has one of the best assist to turnover ratio's for a 6'6 player of all time. Sam young has logged more nba turnovers than assists. When it is all said and done, Iguodala Island is the "best player" on a mediocre at best squad. That is nothing to be proud of. That is nothing to boast about. That also doesn't mean that he should be looked at as an untradeable talisman.

Now, if that is supposed to be me being "biased", well then I can't help you. If you think we can't do better than Iguodala, again, I can't help you. On a winning team, he's a good role player. Derek Fisher. Nothing wrong with that. Just not on the Sixers.

OMG, its funny. If you say the red apple is red. Someone will say that the apple is not red because its stem isn't. It is what it is Iggy is a role player. A defensive specialist. Just what he did for Team USA. Defensive only. I think message boards can be so tiring because you can't see the dumb looks people have on their face when they read and try to comprehend something that is as basic as it is.

Not to mention he beats Sam Young in every statistical category both basic and advanced, and even by the "eye test" they play completely different. But Sam Young. Good call Broussard, and good call fans that not only agreed, but praised the man for downplaying him.

If you don't think Iguodala "fits" on our team anymore (which I don't get because we don't have a contending team yet, thus there are no "fits") that's fine, but to downplay him to such a degree is borderline comical. Unless of course Dirk is just a glorified Bargnani.

15, 6, 4 , 2, all-NBA defense, #3 scoring option, possibly as good overall as the #2 scoring option depending on who that player would be.
Use broad terms all you want, but that's the player he is capable of being on a contender.

If Iggy made 8-9m a year no one would want to trade him. But at his bloated contract, he has to be moved. He is not worth that bloated contract he received. His contract is like a boulder on a small boat. Its too big, for what we get from him.

If anyone doesn't believe me, i will start pulling quotes from the other teams boards and start posting them. Most other teams fans don't think he is worth the 45m remaining for his final 3 years.

Someone in here said he has the 30th highest salary in the NBA. I think he's around the 30th best player in the league. Or am I wrong?

On a good playoff team he doesn't average 15 points a game. The ball wouldn't be in his hands as much. He would be a 10 point a game guy, playing defense on a teams best scorer. A ROLE PLAYER. Just like Team USA.

Maybe not that high. I'd probably have him around 35, where the outside fan may have him around 40-45. He's a little overpaid, but not nearly as much as some here would have you believe(probably because they have him around 60-70).

I know man, it's nuts. There's some deep-rooted attachments to some players. I think that's the major problem.

Why put him in a situation in reality of a championship level team? No, the standard is clearly the team Iguodala played on this past off-season which consisted entirely of players in the league's top 40, since those types of teams obviously exist in the NBA.

With regards to their team needs, I think that the Mavs aren't really interested in Iguodala since they already have a better SF in Butler and a slightly lower to equal SF in Marion.

Will Iggy make them better? Yes, definitely. Same thing if Ariza, Tony Allen, Battier or Sefalosha dropped on their team today.

I don't know whats the point of asking how many players in the Mavs roster is better than Iggy. At the SF position, Butler and Marion should be equal or better to Iggy. He's a perfect fit as the 2/3 best player behind Dirk & with the offensive weapons of Terry & Barea on the team. Especially this year with Butler out. But Dallas does not play by the same rules as the Sixers. Cuban spends money to compete & & will go over the tax & Comcast doesn't. If the rosters were reversed, Comcast would be trading draft picks to get under the luxury tax. If the Sixers weren't obsessed with the tax, Iggy's salary wouldn't be a topic of conversation. Unfortunately, they are!
