Don't watch too many Wizards games. What's BB's dog level?

Re: Around the League: 2022-23 Season 3.0
Myers stepped down in GS.
That is a sign to me that their ownership wants to (probably drastically) cut payroll.
Six Finals and four rings isn't getting fired or lowballed.
Gonna make the assumption the only untouchable they have now is Curry.

First casualty of the new CBA's double-apron as someone on the General Board said. Will be interesting to see who Warriors get rid of as they probably can't keep the Big 3 together anymore.

If Draymond didn't have a $27M PO next year, I'd love him as a glue guy off the bench.

I assume Dray is going to opt in. Ownership is probably saying sell everything not nailed down, including Dray and Klay. Myers wasn't going to do that, so he resigned.
Andrew Wiggins, anyone?

Kuminga might be a potential lottery ticket to a superstar. If he's not too expensive, we should look into him

For sure. Tobias for Poole and Kuminga makes a lot of sense IMO. Problem is we need to unload Poole’s contract.
But I can understand if we hold unto Poole and rebuild his value, like how Warriors did to DLo. Who knows, he might end up being better than Maxey.
Poole shot 60-ish TS% in 2022 reg season with 65 TS% in the 2022 playoffs on 17-19ppg.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

Is a trade like this even in the realm of possibility?
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:
Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards
Bona/Watford/Barlow
Embiid/Drummond/Broome

Doesn't seem unreasonable if they want to get off Poole's contract.

If that’s the case, then you do this without question, especially if Harden leaves. Poole would be a nice 6th man and Kuminga has all-star upside imo. Worst case scenario it gives you young assets to deal later down the line.
Maxey/Poole/McClung
Melton/Springer/Korkmaz

It's tough with him. I'm going Gordon Setter...Very rare type of dog, medium sized to large breed. Temperament ranging from Fearless, Eager, Confident, and at times loyal. Not really a killer though at all. They have one of the softest most gentle bites of any dog breed. Good family pets when they are fed well. Not anything I'd rely on if a fight broke out.

Yo, the proposed Tobias for Poole/Kuminga trade you do in a nanosecond if you're Philly. I doubt the Warriors would be interested at all in something like this. I do think Kuminga is going to be a pretty good. Not a superstar, but a solid power forward in this league. He could be to Embiid what Otis Thorpe was to Hakeem. A good sidekick in the frontcourt. God knows Embiid could use one.
As far as Poole goes, I like Jordan Poole. I think him getting punched by Draymond Green probably put a mental black cloud over his season. Stuff like that can be hard to let go of and move past. I think Golden State needs to make a decision this summer about who to keep between Dray and Poole. If anything I look for them to move on from Poole. I do think Tobias Harris on the Warriors would work when you look at the potential lineups they'd have with him. I doubt that's the trade that moves Tobias though.

Poole makes 30m for the next 4 years and Kuminga currently stinks. The worst case scenario is that you're stuck with Poole's contract and Kuminga doesn't develop.

That's the kind of risk-reward trade you might have to make if Harden leaves though.
Poole is only 23 and will absolutely be valuable to some team looking for a move to take them over the top (ala Boston's trades for White and Brogdon). His $30 mil will look like nothing compared to some of the contracts that are about to be handed out over the next few seasons. Plus, a contract like his could be useful for matching salaries in a trade or S&T.
It's not a home run by any means, but the alternative is running it back and just letting Tobi expire, which doesn't sound promising IMO.

Agree it's a risk, but we're in position now where we have to take some calculated risks.
If we did this trade I'm starting Poole with Maxey and playing him heavy minutes. Best chance to pump and dump if required down the line.

Same...I'd be all in on it. You play Poole and Maxey together and see what happens. During any time that either Curry or Thompson have missed time, Poole has been great.

Kuminga would be a sneaky get. 60% TS, combined 3.2% STL + BLK rate, and a relatively low TOV%.
I don't think it's the type of trade you can do if Harden comes back though. 4 max or near-max contracts ain't it.

Detroit just paid out the wazoo to get Monty to agree and coach up their scrub bunch.

I was actually wondering if Williams might be more interested in building up a program and culture with a younger team. Just seems to fit his Tobi-like personality.
