Pat Bev would likely have to be a part of that for salary matching. I imagine West will want to pilfer another young player as opposed to a pick as well, either Milton or Thybulle.

Would you do Milton and Horford for Beverley, LouWill, and Noah? That's a pass for me. Although with the ~7M savings it's quite possible Josh Harris takes it anyway.

I don't want to trade with the Clippers again lol.

At this point I think I'd be incredibly happy with Horford for Otto Porter straight up.

Gives their new coach a familiar face to help LaVine in the pick and roll game, gets rid of someone they will have to pay next year who is consistently hurt.

Gives Sixers a get out of jail nearly free card and a player who when healthy is an amazing fit in the starting lineup.

Maybe Chicago would do it without FRPs involved? Maybe just 2nds?

I'd be astonished if Brand could pull that off. The Embiid, Simmons, Porter, Harris situation would still need to be sorted however.

Just a follow up, Porter is the Cov, Saric, Harris hybrid that we've needed to pair with Embiid and Simmons this whole time. He would fit in perfectly here, imo.

If the Sixers can turn Harris into Porter, they should be willing to eat all the bad salary CHI wants to dump to get that done. Injuries or not.

There's no chance the Bulls are dumb enough to trade us Otto Porter for either Horford or Harris, right? We'd have to add a lot on top like Thybulle, a future 1st, and maybe even more than that to offset the toxicity of either of those two contracts.

I think Harris for Porter is a fair deal. Porter has injury issues. Harris has been very durable.

Harris for Porter and a Jrich + Horford + pick for Hield and Barnes would be a dream. Certainly doubts that Chicago and/or SAC would have interest

Ben | Terry/Lewis/Anthony
Buddy | Shake
Barnes | Matisse
Porter
Embiid

If healthy, top 5 on both ends of the floor.

They ae just going to get fleeced. It doesnt even make sense to say something like that because the other teams will know you will have to make some trades.

That and what has d'antoni accomplished to do so, it has only worked in the regular season so far.

I mean tbf he did have a 3-2 series lead over the greatest team ever before CP3's hamstring erupted

I don't care if he stays on the floor or not. Worst case he's a massive expiring helping to fix our atrocious cap/salary situation by summer 2021.

Mike D'Antoni is like the Andy Reid of the NBA. He's not perfect but he's a great coach and has been a bit unlucky to not win it all.

Like Andy finally broke through last season, Mike could do the same with the right team.

Sure, which is likely the greater benefit of acquiring him. That was in response to him being a perfect fit on the floor

Associating the "right team" with this organization? You should know better than that man. We'll find a way to **** it up.

I'm not opposed to Mike D'Antoni. The only place he really ever struggled was in New York and even there he made a temporary star out of Jeremy Lin. It could possibly work here and I like the Andy Reid comparison. Thing is, yes...We will have to move one of our stars to fit his style of play. I think if D'Antoni had to pick a player to build around, it would be Ben Simmons because he's a natural floor general. That would mean that Embiid gets moved and I hate the thought of that. He's my favorite Sixer we've had here since Allen Iverson. He's probably my third favorite all time Sixer behind Barkley and AI. Taking a look at his centers over the years, he's had Stoudemire what? Twice? Capela, and Dwight Howard. Embiid is not really a PnR type of center and that has always been the type of center D'Antoni uses. In fact, Nash struggled to run it with Dwight Howard during the LA years. The writing is on the wall if we do in fact hire him to coach this team. It will be Embiid that gets moved.

I think you make wonderful points and I agree that the writing is on the wall with Embiid. I am guessing it will be a mid-season trade.
