This makes me feel good, first of all. Freaking love Embiid.

But more importantly, imo, I think it's great that he is in such a passionate city where he feels embraced. Because if he stays healthy every GM in the league would damn near kick his mother in law out of the car in rush hour traffic for the chance to sign him.

One of the way many things about Embiid that I like is he seems to always be a positive and fun person off the court while he is very passionate and serious on the court. You need that right balance to handle adversities.

Yup. He's like Shaq personality wise.

I don't know how to post links to tweets, but Embiid just basically tweeted that he has a large cack. Wonder if he's gonna become like Barkley, where he can pretty much get away with saying anything.

Someone please get a proper height on Simmons since we have a rough estimate of how tall Embiid is. From this pic it doesn't look like Simmons is 7 feet. It seems like he didn't grow at all. He looks about 6'10 or so. Someone has to be able to get an acjrrare measurement from this pic.

Obviously I want the proper measurements too, but Brown already denied the 7'ft thing.

Even Simmons admitted that he hadn't measured himself. He just thinks that he grew.

So the whole story was just based on nothing.

Also his location for the photo is Mandingo (who is a well-endowed porn star)

Imagine Embiid in full armor with a broadsword riding on top of that horse. Khal Drogo wouldn't have **** on him.

Because of depth perception you need to calculate the angular size to work out exactly how tall Simmons is.... and the problem with that is you need to know exactly how far away the camera was at the time it took the photo.

By an amazing coincidence... if you use a ruler in the photo Simmons and Embiid appear exactly the same size.... 600 units of the ruler. That would normally make working out Angular size a lot easier as you already know that both objects overlaying each other are the exact same height. Think comparing the size of a tennis ball to the moon in a photo... and having the tennis ball and moon be the exact same size in the photo... ideal situation.

Unfortunately though at the end of the day unless you how far away the camera was at the time the picture was taken... it's just a guess. All the photo really tells us is he is definitely not 7ft 2.

7 foot though is not out of the realms of possibility.. given the distance between where Simmons and Embiid are standing is a bit over a shoe size difference... so maybe 16 inches. The camera also doesn't look that far away as well so Simmons isn't going to be shrinking that much in height in the photo.

If I was to take a guess I would say he would be closer to 6ft 11 than 7ft.

I like where your head is on trying to figure this out, but wouldn't it be nice if the Sixers just measured them both barefoot? Lol

We are left to try to calculate it, as if a five dollar measuring tape couldn't solve the mystery in a minute.

What i'm sure is TJ is probably as tall as the lady at the upper right of the picture.

LOL yes and I struggle to believe they haven't actually measured them all. Simmons not helping by telling journos he is 7ft!

Height obviously does not matter as much in football, but I found it interesting watching the NFL draft this year how accurate the height measurements were. Such as 6'2 and 7/8". I wish we could just measure all basketball players exactly as they are after the draft too. Like before camp teams should measure the guys between 18-21 in case they grew and then list everyone on the roster with their exact height without shoes. Not gonna happen, but would be nice!

I've stood next to both Embiid and Simmons at the same time and Embiid was significantly taller.

Also I've been to games and seen Embiid standing next to guys like Brook Lopez that are listed at 7 feet, and again he was noticeably taller than them. So if he's not 7'2", then none of the 7 footers I saw are 7 foot either so we're back to it not really mattering.
