Wonderful.

But you can't sign or trade for a 3rd player.

Funny how the Suns and Celtics don't seem to have this problem

The Celtics get more talented, but also more ball hoggish.

I’d trade Tobi and draft compensation for Kristaps.

Seeing Embiid play with an actual stretch 4 for the first time since ... Ilyasova ? Dream come true. Always wished we acquire Kevin Love before he fell off.

I didnt expect Kristaps to be this cheap.

Biid has always been playing with a stretch 4. Weve focused too much on this 4 out offense which is one of the reasons why its leading to a lot of ISO and stationary basketball.

I want Biid to play with someone with size. But kristaps not only has size, but he can also shoot 3s and protect the rim. Almost the perfect frontcourt partner for Biid to me.

I just meant stretch 4 used to mean guys like Kristaps, Dirk, Bosh, and Love. Big power forwards who expanded their game to step out and be a threat.

Today's modern interpretation now includes a wing like KD or Tobias or an immobile 6'5 guy like Tucker who sits in the corner and is basically zero threat other than open threes. Small ball has definitely given it a looser definition.

I do agree with you the modern stretch 4 with Joel hasn't really worked. Sadly I also cannot imagine another big like Porzingis also sharing the court with Joel due to how much space his Kobe cosplaying demands.

Did it really fall through? Every source I've seen has it still happening.

It's happening, but now the Celtics are sending Smart to Grizzlies instead.

That Golden State pick the Celtics got is sneaky good. We’ve seen how quickly the wheels can fall off this Warriors team with an injury or two.

Memphis severely overrated Smart. And WSH somehow didn't insist on one of those 1sts.

The Grizzlies wanted to keep their team dynamics the same. Inserting Marcus Smart into the Dillon Brooks role allows them to do that, I suppose.

Remember when the Sixers had Hinkie? Always looked forward to the next trade.

Good times.

It's just a matter of time before Kristaps Porzingis is a 76er. He would not workout for the 76ers leading up to the draft and the Knicks ended up with him. He eventually ended up playing for Washington and now he will be playing for Boston. That just leaves us and the Nets in this conference. I predict the 76ers will sign him when he is 37 to a 4 year deal. It's gonna happen!
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way.

Boston trying to offload damaged goods AGAIN is not being discussed enough.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Grimes/Edgecombe/Gordon
Oubre/Edwards
George/Watford/Barlow
Embiid/Bona/Drummond/Broome

I keep laughing at the notion that Boston is making any moves with the thoughts of stopping the Sixers in mind lol.

I’d be fascinated to hear players give their thoughts on Boston as a franchise. They are definitely the worst offenders at running player ragged & then dumping them. They did Smart a solid by trading him to Memphis tho, where he can contribute to a team with legitimate aspirations.
