First year after Adam Silver cracked down on tampering. Bodner and Neubeck were noting how the lack of updates are from teams wanting to avoid looking like they had deals in place.

I also think it's because of the new CBA. Fewer teams with money to burn; a lot of players resigned with their teams before today and there just aren't all that many "needle" moving players available.

Lastly, a lot is riding on what PG13 does. DDR and Klay are all in a holding pattern until PG13 makes a move b/c Sixers are the best team with money available.

If we used the full trade exception plus offloading Reed - could we get Collins or Kuzma?

Is Jayson Tatum better than Paul George?

Celtics wont win a championship if Paul George replaces Tatum?

Clips would have made it to the next round and beat the Mavs if Tatum replaces Paul George?

Yes,
possibly but they still might,
and yes.

I’ve been looking at Paul George’s numbers and checking what Clippers fans are saying about him.

Playoffs ISO Points per Possession (PPP):
- Jayson Tatum: 0.79 PPP
- Paul George: 1.03 PPP

Estimated Plus-Minus (EPM):
- Paul George: 8th (+5.7)
- Jayson Tatum: 15th (+4.6)

Tatum operates under less pressure compared to George. If Tatum is better, the gap isn’t significant. The Celtics' success is more attributable to their overall talent and depth rather than individual talent.

And regarding my inquiry, I think Celts win it with George but I dont think Clips win that series against the Wolves with Tatum, looking at Tatum’s ISO numbers and the heavy ISO play style of the Clips.

The Clippers’ letter of justification for Paul George essentially boils down to this: he's primarily a regular-season player, with only a few standout playoff games in 2021. Based on this evaluation, they don't believe he's worth the contract he's asking for.

Additionally, it appears the Clippers had a wake-up call after losing to the Mavericks. They realized tits more optimal to have two star shot creators surrounded by well-rounded team with energetic and athletic players than three star shot creators surrounded by old players. This structure aligns better with the new CBA. As a result, they are attempting to replicate this model by incorporating young talents like Kevin Porter Jr., Derrick Jones Jr., and Kai Jones, alongside Kawhi Leonard and James Harden.

Two year 16.3M for Kelly. Does that mean room exception? So Drummond's 5M/yr is using the remaining cap?

Why did Woj list him as a shooting guard?

Did we split the remaining cap with Oubre and Drummond?

A "starting" shooting guard at that. Then again I guess as the roster stands he will be starting.
