Well, I've never talked about taking any player at #1 because there wasn't a player worth trading up for at #1. Second, no, nothing I'm saying is reactionary. I said those things before the draft, so I don't know what you're talking about. Third, I was a staunch critic of both Ball and Jackson before the draft and labeled them both as good role players in the NBA, so you're not pulling an a-ha moment on me.

Which is the point I was making all along. There are two buckets of people who are Fultz deplorables those that never fully believed Fultz was the top prospect in the draft. Those people have yet to be proven wrong or right at this point. I'm sorry but 4 games with a bum shoulder will not define Fultz's career.

He was also the consensus top prospect in the draft and remember we were not the only ones considering moving up either. LAL were as well. Think for a moment if they somehow traded for the first pick. They would have drafted Fultz. Boston Tatum. Then we would have been left with Ball or Jackson two players you purport to have been a staunch critic of. I actually liked Jackson and continue to like Jackson he's raw offensively but he'll give you value from a defensive standpoint.

The second bucket are the Ball knoblers. They wanted us to take Ball. Or DSJ both players who are struggling. They let Fultz first four games with a bum shoulder define him as a prospect all the while pumping Tatum a player they never even advocated taking. I just find it annoying. All the boards slobber over their prospects we constantly find ways to tear them down even when they have done nothing to warrant it.

Thanks for breaking down the groups of people as if there is no other way of having a different perspective than the ones you portrayed.

Also thanks for breaking down the alternate realty where the Lakers traded assets they didn't have to move up. In this alternate reality, we are only allowed to choose between Lonzo Ball and Josh Jackson because that's what DraftExpress/ESPN told us to do.

The Lakers were in on Fultz that was reported by Woj at the time. Whether Ainge would have taken a lesser offer from them we won't know because we could and did offer more but the idea that things would have played out the same below pick number one had we not made the trade is it's own alternate reality.

I was high on Okafor and not Porzingis.

I actually thought Okafor was going to be an elite scorer after his first year. I really liked Ingram not enough to necessarily make him the 1st overall pick but I considered them much closer then they have been.

We all make mistakes some more then others but I refuse to admit Fultz was a mistake until I see evidence of it when he's been healthy

Utah is a very different team at home, and Harden is just flat out having a game, but them not looking very competitive with the Rockets bodes well for Tuesday...

Fultz wasn’t worth trading up for all that. Staying at 3 was the best option. If any trade should have been done it should have been to trade down not up.

Historically we paid a pittance BOS board was apocalyptic the league wide view was we won the trade. Sometimes even when you win a trade it still doesn't work out (like the Jrue trade) but stop acting like we gave up the keys to the kingdom.

Most people including myself felt we gave up very little. Also like I said the Lakers were nipping at the heels. If we didn't make the deal there is a good chance Boston would have traded down and selected Tatum 2nd. We would have been stuck with Ball.

Fans are wrong all the time. I don’t care if Boston fans weren’t happy when we made the trade. BC got fleeced for moving up and letting go of a great asset to not even get the best player or even one of the top 2 players in the draft. Who does that? BC does. Ainge didn’t want Fultz. He knew Fultz wasn’t the best prospect. BC got hoodwinked and bamboozled. I saw their coming a mile away. Before the draft I kept saying I hope BC doesn’t move up. Don’t do it. Stay at 3. Sad.

Ingles and Gobert will be a tough match-up for Ben and Biid. Our shooters will need to step up again this game.

Ingles? Lol I'm not sure a guy averaging 10 a night belongs with those other 3.

Im referring to his defense. I think he can make it tough for Simmons just as Thad's D on simmons against pacers

I'm not going to comment on the trade up to #1, but when Mitchell is sitting there at 13, I have no idea how we don't top the Jazz' offer. I was hoping we could find a way to sneak back into the top 11 or so to get him. He was a very good prospect and would have been a really nice fit next to Simmons as a potential 5th starter or 6th man. I imagine he'd look much better right now in a role where he didn't have to do as much offensively.

I think after our 1st selection the only thing we were thinking of in this draft was how many guys could we get that we could stash in Europe.

I still think getting Jonah Bolden in the 2nd round was our gold mine find. He is going to end up being like getting a first rounder anyway. I see him as the perfect fit next to Simmons. A 3 point shooting athletic 6ft 10 guy that can run the floor, play defense and get on the end of alley-oops.

Ho hum Lonzo has his third straight plays ten or better outing and the Lakers won. It’s going to be pretty soon where people can’t say the Lakers are better with Lonzo on the bench lol. Give it about two more games and the Lakers will be better with Ball on the court. Lonzo’s shot isn’t falling but it won’t always be this bad. This is why everyone should be encouraged by Lonzo. His **** isn’t falling and he’s still playing well. He’s impacting the game in other ways. The Lakers are winning with Lonzo. The Sixers are winning without Fultz.

Lonzo is the ultimate team player.

Bricks his shots on purpose to allow more opportunities for teammates to rebound.

Give Ball about two more games so he can ultimately shoot under 25%. Oh wait , maybe hes the one who plays with an injured shoulder. lol

He’s the worst shooter in the league but it won’t always be this bad. Look at what he does well. It’s not all about shooting. He does need to improve in that area though.

I doubt it. I am not surprised he’s shooting this poorly. There will be growing pains.
