Phoenix and Milwaukee both also interested in Augustin - he's not going to sign for the minimum with multiple teams interested. And I wouldn't pay much more than that.

Hopefully he gets a ton of opportunity in Detroit. The guy can score in his sleep. Detroit is going to be bad anyway so why not let Okafor pump his stats and have some fun?

if Detroit doesn't scoop up all the bigs on the market, I suspect our future backup center will be cheaper than MLE.

Right??! Dude reminds me of Wayman Tisdale! Not sure if you're old enough to remember him, but he played on these horrific Kings teams back in the early 90s and was basically a scoring machine for that franchise! I mean stat padder all day and you couldn't help but love the guy. Like Okafor, could get you 20+ and 7 on a consistent night. Okafor reminds me quite a bit of him.

I remember him. Somehow I always get him confused with Sixers legend Armon -> Armen Gilliam. I associate the gumby looking afro with Tisdale but I think it was actually Armen lol.

I was more interested in Augustine a couple years ago. Don't really see the point now.

I dig the signing. Played pretty well in playoffs. At least the games I watched. I'm sure it's not a crazy deal so it can't hurt

He's literally like an older Noel. 1 year deal. Still a serviceable big man. I'm fine w/ it.

Vet min for a pretty good back up big with championship experience. Why not

Sixers never thought he’d leave LA. Think LA pulled their offer and Morey jumped. He’s a better Noel and vet minimum keeps MLE open. Wow
