Wall and picks is a good benchmark and last minute grab if nothing better comes.

But I still fully expect Spurs to give up the winning package for Simmons. Morey would love White and Murray. They both have strong impact stats, have advanced stats that suggest they could be better than they are in another system with more opportunity (like Harden).

Wall in terms of a Simmons trade is simply salary ballast. The asset value of the trade would be elsewhere.

We have to include more than Ben to match Wall’s salary

It’s not ballast, it’s a torpedo hitting a bullseye

I swear some of y’all would be siked if our starting lineup were Wall, Oladipo, Derrick Rose, Blake Griffin, and Boogie Cousins

I'll take it, there's plenty of GMs here who could make that work. :D

Wall for Simmons is Morey putting up the white flag. He should be run out of town.

It’s not just Wall

It’s the fact that the Rockets have nothing else to offer

It won’t happen

But that’s not the only basis.

If you’ll just blindly look at advanced stats, there are some guys who got better numbers than Murray like campazzo, tj mcconnel, cam payne, pat connaughton and devonte graham.

And if we’re talking about scoring, Murray is near the bottom in scoring efficiency with .509 TS%.

And system? How can a guard who can’t shoot and can’t score fit our team? We’re so thirsty for a lead guard who can take charge on our offense when Embiid is off the floor.
Dejounte Murray is NOT that guy.

If you think Dejounte Murray is good. Then keep him.

Personally, I’d rather have John Wall than Dejounte Murray. And I prefer a lot more players than those two.

I’d even rather take my chances on Fultz and Jonathan Isaac. I also dont mind getting Rozier. Or just settle for that Pacers trade offer with Brogdon and Duarte for Ben.

Murray must have **** your girl lol.

The "upside" to Murray is that he has some scoring upside to be unlocked out of Pops system. He showed some promise at UDub for example. The "good" part of Murray is that he replaces Ben's role as a defender and set up guy and he will be able to do it not from the dunker spot. He is not the greatest player ever of course...which is why he would in theory come with either picks and/or another prospect. Not to mention he is still young and thus moveable unlike Wall. He was a first team all defense guy a few years back too. You keep acting like he is a total scrub...when he's not...and again he is simply apart of the package; not the main prize.

AND AGAIN AGAIN....the market is dry as ****. We'd be lucky to get a Murray at this stage IMO.

Neubeck has an insider on the 76ers as a source now. It gives us a glimpse into what the 76ers braintrust is thinking about.

https://www.phillyvoice.com/ben-simmons-latest-rumors-trade-damian-lillard-daryl-morey-eastern-conference-doc-rivers-news-update/

"There are a few deals you could say, we do this, and we'll gamble that sometime later, we'll take draft picks and turn it back into having [a title] chance," a team source told PhillyVoice. "But why do that?...there's no reason to go get draft picks right now because you could just do it all at once. Why take the risk that you do that and you can't flip back out of it? It makes no sense with Joel in his prime."

They're right. And I'm feeling pretty confident that they are going to settle on Bradley Beal. Lillard isn't going to leave and they are set up to be a 4/5 seed. The Wizards are going to suck and I'd bet that Embiid has Beal's ear in the event of that happening.

It's a fair point, actually.

Rich Paul and Ben are in a tough situation. He's going to get fined for not showing up and the Sixers are in no hurry to trade him. I'm really starting to believe we'll see a PR redemption tour in the next week.

The galaxy brain move would be to announce Embiid still needs time to let his knee recover and let Ben run the show for the first 10 games to boost his value again.

Morey is as much of a disaster as GM in Philly as Ben is as a player. What a disaster Morey has been in Philly, holy ****.

"The adults are back in the room" dude let the situation get totally out of control. He got his fat check from Harris and he's coasting at this point.

I will be very pleasantly surprised if we can get Beal.

Rich Paul has you in the palm on his hand. Good grief.
