I love Henson and Ross so I wouldn't be against that. Henson routinely went up against guys a lot bigger than him and didn't seem to struggle. He put up nice numbers and had a huge impact defensively every game. I still don't know what our solution is going to be for our center spot.

Maybe getting PJ3 in changed some minds and they think he is worth the risk/reward.

Salmons, Garcia, Chuck Hayes and maybe even Thornton depending on how they see him fitting in with Andre/Evans/I. Thomas.

dont really like the first 3 at all......thornton and 5 would be done yesterday if offered...but they wont move us thornton

Filler aren't supposed to be guys you like when you are moving to get the #5 pick. Those guys are better (and on better contracts) than Richard Jefferson.

What about Thornton and 5 for Iguodala and 15. I think that's pretty fair. And at 5, you are guaranteed one of MKG/Barnes/Drummond/Beal/Robinson.

at least they are looking at creative ways to try and make an impact.

Why does his contract matter so much? He makes less than Iggy, matter fact if you add Jeffersons contract with the number 7 pick 1t would be about the same or slightly higher than Iggys.

I still see it as a win win. We can get a replacement for iggy at 7 and not lose him for nothing in a year. Oh and Jefferson expires in 2014, the same year as Iggys

If we get to keep 15 im all for it. The toronto deal makes way more sense tho if we go this route

Jefferson is also going to be 33 this month and has had 3 pretty terrible seasons in a row. Maybe he just wasn't a good fit for those teams but idk. If he was willing to change his contract a little bit for the next couple years than I would maybe agree to it. He'd be the best shooter we've had on the Sixers in years. And he would provide some vet leadership with Brand and Iggy gone. I'm not doing any of these deals unless we get to keep #15 though.

Steph-Klay-Iggy-Lee-Bogut would be a nice team...wish we had that damn team.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't love that Golden State trade. Maybe I'm expecting too much, but I don't really love the draft enough to take back Richard Jefferson.

If we're really trying to rebuild, I'd do the trade. RJ expires the same year as Dre , and if we're going young won't be hitting our stride for another 2-3 years anyways.

RJ can still be a decent shooter off the Bench and a veteran locker room guy.
Dorrell Wright has great size and can shoot as well.

Add 2 top 15 picks and I think it's a solid deal for iguodala. If we don't move him now, his value is only going to decline.

You aren't adding 2 top 15. You already have 15. That deal would totally hinge upon what the player taken at #7 turned out to be since Jefferson is useless and Wright is just a bench guy.

If there were some players I loved at 7 I'd have no problem with the deal, but I just don't like the draft this year and haven't for a few years now. These drafts have been really weak IMO.

I meant 2 top 15's to the roster with wright n RJ.

Im not head over heels for a lot of guys either, but in an effort to rebuild, I'd unload iggy now for the 7th and roll the dice.

If they makes this deal they must feel like they are really far away from doing anything.

Really? This is actually a strong draft compared to the last 2 seasons. They were pretty weak, and '09-'07 were very good drafts before that.

If we walk out of this draft with Waiters at #7 and Perry Jones at #15, I wouldn't be upset. Obviously we wouldn't be competitive next year starting Jrue / Waiters / Turner / Jones / FA or Vooch, Lavoy, but it would be a rebuild. And since the Deron / Dwight rumors fizzled, the only other logical option is to build from the ground up. We've been treading water since '02, I'd like an all out rebuild with young guys and lesser contracts.

My biggest fear however is that they do not go this route, trade Iguodala for Al Jefferson, amnesty Brand trade #15 and a trade exception for (insert average perimeter scorer on big deal here) and continue treading water.

I think the Sixers are already rebuilding though or I should say technically still building. They are a young team that is not a championship contender. So I don't think they necessarily need to move Iguodala to get even younger than they already are. I'm fine with moving Iguodala, but I want someone who I think will actually be a legit player in return. Someone who can score the ball.

I agree. Moving iguodala , amnestying brand and adding 2 top 15 picks to the team jump starts the youth movement.

We get to see what the rookies along with Jrue Thad n turner can do in expanded roles.
If Someone shines, awesome. If not, you've got a team of youngsters on cheap deals that aren't hard to move. And if we stink, we gain a chance to land a franchise player in the draft next year.

If true, it is the NBA at its finest. I truly hate this league. Hate it with a passion.

This team is going to be stuck in mediocrity forever.

I think this makes them what, at least 4 years away. Again, I'm sure I am expecting too much,
