I still like the BMX flip mishap. It fits both the TOS spectrum, as well as the awkward silence, because being stupid enough to continue that nonsense violated the contract he signed. And even Drew went from yips to ongoing shoulder injury just before he was released.

The injury and trying to change his shot to a set shot, probably allowed the Yips to be created.

No one knows how or why the Yips start, but the lack of practice and then trying to change his shot like Curry (low release) could be the reason.

What? Drew? Who is Drew and what is this story about. I'm missing something here.

Some trainer named Hanlen. said he could fix the yips last summer. Ended up saying shoulder injury before getting let go.

Isn't the whole BMX/motorcycle story just based on one interview where Fultz mentioned that he used to do jumps and flips and somebody then just made up an accident and the internet ran with it?
He might as well have injured his shoulder eating a chicken sandwich. That has the same amount of credibility as the BMX stuff.

Yep Drew Hanlen. I almost forgot about the summer of over a 1,000 jump shots. The summer of proclaiming that the 76ers fans were going to be happy with the Fultz they got after Fultz and worked his butt off and Hanlen had worked his magic. The trip to China where Fultz mom screamed at Hanlen that her son still could not shoot. The tweet from Hanlen that said Fultz was still injured. The counter tweet from Fultz that said he was fine. Yeah almost forgot about that.

fer shur, all speculation. just a guess when actual info from the player is totally lacking. but if there is an ongoing shoulder issue: what? why can't Markelle explain it on camera, instead of going all zombie? what makes me suspicious is the fairly rare TOS explanation. from what i've read this condition is: a. associated with an extra bit of rib that grows into the nerve. b. baseball pitchers, who obviously put a lot of stress on their shoulders. c. people who have had their shoulders compressed in motorcycle accidents or the like.

I think this picture makes me think Fultz is going to bust more than anything else that has happened.

See now this is the type of stuff that gets me fired up.

Why are you victimizing innocent chicken sandwiches?? THERE IS NO PROOF A CHICKEN SANDWICH INJURED ANYONE, LET ALONE MARKELLE FULTZ.

STOP WITH THE CHICKEN SANDWICH MICROAGGRESSIONS.

I love chicken sandwiches.

He can be a very good player. He’s almost perfect for modern day PG.

But he has his demons and I find his IQ to be questionable. But.. so do several successful players

I can't believe I am going to say this... but am I going to be the only one that when he makes his debut for Orlando... if he comes out shooting like Charles plays golf... that I will literally piss my pants in laughter and take immense pleasure from his failure? I know it's wrong but seeing photos of the guy now makes me sick.

Oh, maybe you're right. Would you be able to remind us which doctor put their name out there with this diagnosis?

I don’t have a name. A name not being publically and readily available to NBA fans doesn’t suddenly make a diagnosis fake. However, I would assume Phily’s medical staff, specifically Vice President of athlete care Dr. Daniel Medina, is competent enough to have reviewed the diagnosis and seen it wasn’t fabricated by a Dr. Smellmore Butz, before releasing an official statement on the matter. The same applies to Orlando’s medical team prior to finalizing the trade.

But in the mean time, we should probably rely on the expertise of forum members, beatwriters, and bloggers instead. That seems logical.

Actually, Fultz's care was seen to almost entirely by Fultz's handlers. They essentially cut the Sixers out of the loop. Part of the frustration is not having any real answers.

He's going to stay in rehab the rest of the year anyway by my understanding. But watch what Fultz does with you guys if you give him playing time and then take it away.

I am rooting for Fultz. Thankfully he got traded to a easy to root for franchise in the Magic. It's actually crazy to think that the magic started their rebuild a year or two before us and they are still basically rebuilding and we're contending for a championship. Just goes to show how detrimental a bad GM could be for your team.

The Magic started rebuilding the year before the Process. What we think of as the Andrew Bynum trade was also the Dwight Howard trade.

Who would have thought Vucevic was going to be the crown jewel in that trade

I always liked Vucevic, Sixer fans wanted him out because he was bad on defense but honestly, so what ? He scores and boards like crazy and he roasts the Sixers even with Embiid almost everytime they play. All this hype about getting Bynum, and Vucevic actually is having a way better career than Bynum ever did.
Anyway, back to Markelle, I am not rooting for him at all anymore. He isn't a Sixer and he and his people messed up his situation here.
I look forward to the 30 for 30 on him in a few years when he is out of the league.
