Jazz only giving up markannen if they gey Siakam and the picks.

I also dont know why Sac has to join the party

Then if Jazz is only going to do it for Siakam, Jazz will then cut us out. Where it's going to be Siakam and picks for Markannen instead.

Siakam would be a great fit with Sabonis and provides some D that Sacto sorely needs.

Why are the Jazz trying for 35 wins is my question? It's not logical they would want Siakam, they would want picks. Also Siakam and Collins is gross.

I could see the Raptors doing something like that, but Masai is worse than Morey at overvaluing his own players, so he'd probably demand Lauri and picks.

Question is whether you are willing to trade him for a decent 1st, meaning that if a true game changer comes available, you have lost an additional asset.

I personally like the short and long-term implications of betting on Embiid and Maxey, by surrounding them with really solid two-way players.

He'd be a very good add to this, and really any, team. He also fits from multiple directions, whether it be putting together a team that goes for it this year (provided they have the assets to get their main target first) as well as a cap space plan since he has another cheap year on the books.

I wouldn't look into his minutes/coming off the bench as a reason he'd be available though. Ideally that would be the same role he'd fill here. He's been pretty injury prone, partially due to his play style.

I think you'd bring him off the bench, be the backup PG, and likely close games with him.

Imagine the havoc Nurse's defense could create if they added him and OG :o

So we would still have to start 6"1 Melton next to 6'2 Maxey?

I wonder if Masai learned his lessons and will finally trade his expiring stars for something rather than just letting them go in FA.

This would be great but it's not possible to keep Harris plus sign OG with cap. Only one or the other. Would likely lose Melton also if we go under the cap.

The best realistic plan is to stay an over-the-cap team. That allows us to bring back everyone via Bird Rights. Then make trades using our new stash of picks for one or two studs depending on the cost.

We’ll have roughly $70 mil in cap space. Once you re-sign Harris, his cap hold vanishes and he only takes up as much space as he’s signed for that year. Hypothetically, next year salaries in this example:

Bridges: $23 mil
Harris: $17 mil (starting)
Anunoby: $30 mil (starting)

All estimations except for Bridges.

Melton in this example is re-signed with the MLE, which starts around $13 mil. Could also use that on Oubre. Could also re-sign Oubre instead of Tobias. Lots of flexibility with all of this.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards
Bona/Watford/Barlow

Does Evan Fournier have enough left to be a short term band-aid for us? Would like to see another guard brought in to lessen Melton’s mins and never see Korkmaz on the court again. Can’t imagine it would cost more than Morris and a 2nd. Maybe even just a clean swap

Best plan I have seen yet! Well done. I'd even give them Melton and Springer plus a few 2nds.

That would be a fast, tough to score on, and tough to defend team.

Unless Phlly trades for OG he will never sign as a free agent with you guys (he wants 4 years 160 mllion plus), cannot stand Nurse who played favourites with Pascal and Fred. Now Siakam signing could happen because he is good friends with Embiid

Source? Not that I want to pay OG a ton of money, but it seems the only dislike was Siakam and Nurse. Not seeing anything regarding OG disliking Nurse.

he was unhappy with his role because he wanted more shots, which was partly his fault for being to passive. I don’t see anywhere that he disliked Nick and even said he loved Nick this off-season. Siakim has had more altercations with Nick and his answer about Nick was more generic.

Yea you also dont have MLE if you use capspace. You only have room exception.
Keep in mind also you are bidding against rest of the league too. oG will get a max offer from someone out there. I bet tobias get larger offers of at least 25M as well

I believe Masai will give OG a 5 year max over risk losing him, I could see Raptors letting Siakam walk because he will be 30 and OG 3 years younger and compliments Barnes better. He is the top wing defender and Raptors most consistent 3 point shooter

Raptors cannot keep all 3 of Barnes/OG and Siakam

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
