I am kind of surprised the Wokves haven’t caved yet. Especially after KAT threw a ****fit. Makes me wonder if the speculation they want to trade KAT and DLo to build around Edwards might be true.

The Ayton-KAT trade should have happened already. Makes too much sense for both sides.

Does it? Phoenix doesn't want to pay Ayton because they have a cheap owner and are already paying Booker, Paul and Bridges.

Ayton isn't a max player. Not many centers are.

I think he could, but that's just me. He can stretch the floor, is a great cutter, and is awesome at providing weakside defensive help. Looking at his impact historically, he had his best season as 4 in Detroit next to, ironically, Andre Drummond.

I guess it would come down to the cost of acquiring him though.

PHI out: Simmons (to SAC), Harris (to SAC), Milton (to SAC), 2022 FRP (to HOU), 2023 FRP swap (to HOU)
PHI in: Fox, Barnes, Wood

Is probably the most I'd pay for that incoming package.

I love how all of your trade proposals have Ben and Tobi heading out the door together. If only.

But are they not paying because Ayton is not a max player or because Sarver is cheap and doesn't want to pay any tax? I'd go with the latter

There is no sense to be made for any team trading for DeAndre Ayton. Especially if they're giving up a hall of famer like Towns.

Also, Sarver may be cheap, but not paying Ayton is a terrible reason to cite as an example. Not paying Ayton is an example of brilliance.

Ayton should be a 20 mpg bench player on a bad team. Not a starting C on a good team. His defense this year is Okafor level of bad.

You know what is freaking hilarious?

Tyrese Maxey has a 1.6% block percentage. DeAndre Ayton is a 1.9% block percentage. Our 6'2" munchkin is not that far off the shotblock frequency of their 7 foot C.

Ayton is a Richaun Holmes tier player (solid) that's being spoonfed easy buckets by the anointed "Point God".

He's nothing special.

Would probably have to add Springer and/or FRP to get that done but I'm good with that.

If I had my choice of players to realistically trade for, it would be SGA. What do you think it would take to lure him from OKC?

Nah, those guys are multi time 20+ ppg scorers. Simmons can't even crack 17.

Not much.

Shai's defense and PG play has been a flop at the NBA level. Presti was ready to dump him with assets to go up to #1 to get Cade but Detroit wasn't interested.

They are not paying him because he wants max money. Paying non-max players max money is what gets teams in trouble... cough, cough, Harris, cough...

I wonder if Haliburton putting up numbers in Fox’s absence will facilitate a quicker trade. Ben would really only create shots for the team whereas Fox takes them away.

Meanwhile we need anyone that can add create their own offense with Embiid because everyone else on this team sucks at doing so.

I would gladly trade Simmons, Springer and/or a FRP for SGA. He would be perfect next to Maxey:

Maxey
SGA
Green
Harris
Embiid

Retweet. He doesn't exist to this franchise anymore.

Totally acceptable getting a good young talent as his replacement that can hopefully bloom into a winner playing alongside an MVP candidate in his prime.

PPG merchants still not learning their lesson after the Tobias Harris trade, sigh.
