Uta in: Huerter, KJ, 3 FRP
Uta out: Lauri

Maybe SAC throws in Carter too but seems like an overpay.

Fox Monk DeRozan Lauri Sabonis

is excellent for SAC

Maxey Martin PG Murray Embiid
Lowry McCain Oubre Morris/Cov Drum

I feel ok about PG and Murray going up against the Boston wings. Another iteration is to go all in on Draymond (better option imo than Kuminga) with GSW. Kuminga to Utah, Draymond to Philly, Lauri to GSW. LAC 1st, 2 GSW 1sts to Utah.

Draymond gives us much needed defense, rebounding, and facilitation at the 4.

Maxey Martin PG Draymond Embiid is championship caliber.

We will have to give up much more than just the 2028 LAC 1st. Murray like fetches at least 3 1sts. I'm fine paying that mind you, just we'll have to pay significantly more than 1 st.

Ainge has been demanding a Gobert type haul for Markennan which was like 5 first rounders, plus swaps, plus players. and he knows he's in the position of power because he's under no pressure to trade him anytime soon. Any deal that doesn't net utah at least that much I'm pretty sure has no chance in happening.

If we get Trent then just give Daryl the Executive of the Year trophy now.

Significantly less than I thought it would be. This also suggests the 2nd year is guaranteed? Morey must be covering bases in case he has to wait until next summer to trade him? Don't know.

About what I expected. Looking at the luxury tax costs, and keeping a buffer from the second apron, it should serve its purpose without going crazy.

Not quite the balloon deal I was expecting but $8 mil gives us something to work with.

Who makes 8 mil we can trade for later? Lol.

On another note, Jalen Brunson is an idiot. Who leaves 115 mil on the table

I saw a tweet breaking down cap after Lowry and it said we had about 17-18 mil before 2nd apron so it makes sense we'd shave a few mil off from the apron.

2 for 16 means he gonna be counted on as PF depth and that banking on his youth and athleticism.

Or we identified some players making 8 mil or less to trade him for if need be before deadline

There isn’t much to get. It’s just a low-risk, tradeable contract. Most of the downside is to Josh Harris’ bank account. If we don’t make a trade with him, it’s not that much anyway, and it doesn’t guarantee major penalties. We are prob near the first apron with a few minimums to sign.

Wow just saw the Brunson news. Crazy to pass on that money but he’s still making $40M a year so I can’t blame him for prioritizing winning. This is probably one of the benefits you get when you trade for & sign all your stars best friends lol.

The 2 for 16 was because we had his bird rights and needed some potential salary to trade. I don’t think they expect him to be here in March, and are likely not counting on him very much from a basketball standpoint.

It would be tough to trade Drummond or Lowry without an obvious replacement lined up, but I could see Gordon, Council, a soon to be signed minimum contract, or even McCain getting added into a mid season deal. If we had a player making $12 million in our sites, we could get there fairly easily.
