These are decent role players.
Yep, plus cost controlled and taller than 6’2.

In volume or quality?
Quality is near the bottom

Ace Bailey at a ROCKED UP 220 lbs. is a problem for any opposing D!
How do you know that was the alternative? It could have easily been Roddy, Beauchamp, Blake Wesley, Wendell Moore Jr (the guys picked from 23 - 26 which is right where the Sixers were picking).Iverson Armband wrote:zaz102 wrote:The alternative of David Roddy, Tyler Bey, and Josh Richardson over Melton and Curry? Seth and Melton were both bad trades IMO. The alternative in both scenarios was preferable.
Let's just hope Morey has a good trade coming tomorrow.
I can't rate a trade as bad when they got the best players out of everything traded in both deals.
The Curry trade was fine. Melton was not, he was decent here. Trading a FRP for a “decent” role player is not a good idea. Jovic, Nembhard, Christie or Watson would all look REALLY good on the Sixers right now. Hell, atleast 3 of them could probably start for us right now.

Basically exactly like the pre-draft trade between the Mavs and Hawks involving Luka and Trae. This way Ace still gets paid and gets to go to his team of choice and the Sixers save a little money, still get a guy they want and more depending on the trade.
Hope this happens.Negrodamus wrote:FarBeyondDriven wrote:I think the Sixers take Ace #3 and a team (Wizards, Pelicans, Nets) draft who the Sixers want. This is what I actually think will happen.

This draft falls off hard after like 15 so those picks aren't even that good

I think if you rate a trade for a team that traded a FRP involved and take into account everybody left on the board for that pick, that team loses thr trade a vast majority of the time. That doesn't like the right way to rate trades in my opinion.

Missed out on TyTy Washington.
Let them move up. We'll take all their picks!

If you squint, you can see hulking stretch marks.

Cannot do that, I recall early on that the 2026 pick cannot be traded back to us because of other trades made around it.

Are you thinking of the Wizzards 2026 pick, that i wanted to try a dodgy workaround to get back that can't be done?
"OKC can trade the 2026 Philadelphia 76ers’ first-round pick back to the Sixers without violating the Stepien Rule, as they have first-round picks in 2025 (Miami, Clippers) and are projected to have at least one in 2026 (own or Houston/Clippers, possibly Utah) and 2027 (own or Denver swap, possibly Utah or Philadelphia). No specific trade restrictions or CBA violations prevent this trade, based on available information."
