I'm willing to make a small bet that Ben starts letting it fly on whatever new team he goes to. I think Ben has been mentally out of Philadelphia for a few years now and this was the perfect way for him to get out. Some players are not built for the northeast , it is what it is.

^ We are Sixers fans first and above all else. If winning a championship means trading everyone, we are OK with it.

And right now, the clear path to winning a championship is to get a good return for Ben
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

Total bs

99.99% of Sixers fans won’t agree to trading Joel

Funny thing is that he cares about as much about the fans as Ben does

He’s a professional from Cameroon and would leave for GSW to play with Steph in a heartbeat

Stop being naive

Doc already hinted to this last time Ben trained with the squad, said he was shooting ALOT.

Ben's not training for 20pt Trips
He's going for those Westbrook 30pt Trips

Line has already been drawn in the sand by teams interested in Simmons
Aka (we will make anyone on our roster available for Simmons as long as they are not considered part of our long terms plans
Timberwolves (Edwards/towns)
Kings (Haliburton/fox)
Portland (lillard)
Boston (brown/Tatum)
Now the pelicans (Ingram/Williamson)

Basically all we getting back are role players or McCollum if we want to do any trades. Maybe D Murray of spurs and one draft pick (I don’t think spurs want to offer any more than 2 heavily protected first round picks)

Daryl has also drawn a line. Lines move.

Yeah, the only of those above teams Daryl truly cares about is Portland.

It's extremely difficult to come to any other conclusion at this point than Daryl is just waiting for Harden, Lillard, or Beal.

And he's apparently okay with waiting two years if that's what it takes.

But he's willing to be overpaid to give up waiting. So far, no one seems interested in that for obvious reasons.

I think we would be lucky to get Murray at this point. He is playing really well and he gets better and better every year. Also, he has a great contract. Perfect player to play next to Curry. If I'm the Spurs I wouldn't do that trade.

I certainly hope he's not waiting two years for Harden or Lillard

Timberwolves are 0-5 without D'Angelo Russell and 14-10 with him. At age 25 (going on 26 in February), there's reasonable cause to believe he's more able to contribute to winning basketball than he's ever been in the past.

What do you guys think of this trade?

Boston gets Sabonis and filler

Indy gets Simmons

Philly gets Brown

I'm slowly warming to this as well. Russell and a couple of picks is sounding better, but I'm not sure the T-Wolves do it, as getting DLo, Ben, and KAT together was the original idea until Edwards started going bonkers. I think MIN wants it all for just picks.

With all the A tier players playing like crap this year (Harden, Beal, Lillard), the B tier guys who cost less should be the focus.

And of the B tier guys (Fox, Ingram, Gilgeous-Alexander, Russell), Dlo is by far the best fit. He's the most willing spacer of the bunch and he's the most willing passer of the bunch.

Dlo remains the answer hiding in plain sight.

Leaving aside the question of whether D'Lo is "the answer".

What makes you think MIN will trade him? They overpaid for him specifically to appease Towns. He, Towns and Ben are all friends, all the same age, and obviously want to play together.

So I don't see MIN trading D'Lo for Ben.

Since they won't trade "future superstar" Anthony Edwards or Towns either, that means they are offering nothing except a poo poo platter of picks and worthless players.

The only odd posters here are the Bum Simmons stans :nonono:
It's ok to think Russell can be a good player here, Wolves are known for bad player development after all. The fit can be fantastic here.

And he's by far the worst player and a negative asset.

Based on nothing other than personal feelings.

If you put your bias aside and dig into the numbers, you're going to surprise yourself.

You might even go out there and get a digital alarm clock font tattoo that says "now" too.

DLo has regressed as a shooter with a career low FG% of .388. His shooting splits are awful. 33% from three. His per is 16.1. Win Share of 1.5. He has a checkered injury history. Iffy defender. Making over $30 million a year. He is on his 4th team for good reason.
