I googled FVV vertical and found some Raptors reddits and my god, their takes on FVV are nearly identical to scouting reports on McCain. I think earlier poster was right, this might be a Nurse move.

Even Adam Silver is taller than Jared McCain. How long is Adam Silver’s wingspan?

We have 4 or 5 players if Reed is not waived, we still dont know how the team is going to be.

I think McCain is more ready to play than Walter, but that's just my opinion. Walter's intrigue is his willingness to shoot and his FT%, otherwise he was atrocious at shooting this year. He'll need a couple of years. An elite off ball scorer off the bench for when Maxey sits is more needed at this time. The fit definitely isn't the best, but a 20mpg bench player at the 16th pick would be a win and I think he's that (if we keep him). I think he can be more, but it's tough with Maxey.

I predict Derrick White will have a 5 block night against the Sixers next year.

This current iteration of Twitter plus a dude thats a little fancy is a bad combo. That sucks.

Maybe we have something lined-up with Pels where we send them McCain and we get Missi (who we worked out) back?

I need to calm down. I Just don't know that I'll get over Knecht being there and us passing the way we did. McCain is a shooter! That's great! So are Walter and Knecht and they have size. Knecht is a gym rat and a tireless worker. Both he and Walter were lotto level players. Johnny Furphy, Filipowski, Walter, Knecht, De Silva! They were all there. Let's revisit this in a couple years. I hope like hell I'm wrong about McCain.

If he can ball, even bigots would get on board. City was loving the Jeff Garcia hot streak a while back.

Knecht is going to get that LA boost so I think people will be really mad about it when McCain falls out of the rotation for Lowry

I'm meh on McCain but it's certainly not a pick to get angry about. This draft sucked. I'd have preferred someone with more athleticism and scoring upside, but it's not like they passed on Carter or Dillingham.

That actually makes sense. Ugh, it's probably aligns with the Ingram trade tho.

I'm just rooting now for the team to pick Bronny on the second round, just for the schadenfreude

Reading their review of McCain; the first guy that came to mind is Brunson.
