Rumor is he's coming back. The fact that it hasn't happened yet is a little unnerving for me though.

Same, I have a family member that's usually pretty good on the UK news and the fact that I haven't heard it confirmed is freaking me out a touch.

In this mock draft they have Sixers trading with Kings for 5 and 10.

I am very much in favor of that trade. I think the Kings would ask for more though.

Yeah man, I have no idea who I want at this point. DSJ is maybe 3rd in my mind now after talking crap about his commitment to defense, length, and focus 2 days ago. WTF is this draft man?

I think it's a big jump to assume Tatum is all that similar to PG scoring wise. I disagree about the quickness. PGs athleticism is on a different level and his shot would have to go from middling to being absolutely wet to be similar to PG. The Jabari comparison's as a reasonable upside I think are more apt.

Yeah I agree. Tatum's not on Paul George's level, athletically. That makes them significantly different. I can see the Danny Granger comps that guys were using earlier in the year, but even then, I don't know that Tatum is as fluid as Granger. Tatum is a better shooter than Jabari, but Parker had way more burst and quickness. Tatum should be a good starter, but I don't see the upside being much higher.

I agree. I think Granger was born about 8 years too early. He was dropping like 40% 3pfg on like 6-7 attempts a game in an era not centered around the 3pt shot. That guy would be an absolute star in this era.

It's real hard to find a comparison that fits totally with Tatum and his shot. I was kind of conflating Duke Jabari w/ NBA Jabari. His shot was better and he was in worse shape at Duke from a burst/athleticism perspective.

dsj is gonna impress the sixers in workouts. he's gonna show a pull up game, range out past the 3 point line, tell the organization that he can play off ball

funny in that dsj was the pg i wanted 3 or 4 years ago and it might actually happen

I'm comfortable with DSJ as a "home-run swing" play. There's no doubting his talent.

BC is going for best fit with best upside this draft I believe because that's what he said. That very well may be Jackson but just might be Isaac or DSJ. Tough call. He hates that he has a center logjam and doesn't want that to happen at any other position.

I think the only reason he would avoid DSJ is that he legitimately thinks that Lowry is coming here. I would prefer to align the ages and draft DSJ. Go get a shooter in FA to play off of him.

DSJ
Redick/KCP
Cov
Simmons
Embiid

Probably not a playoff team this year but holy potential.

dsj clearly the most talented player on the floor back in 2014 (playing a bit off the ball with fox)

i remember reading an article last week by some expert who said dsj's handles weren't as good as fultz

dsj has the best handles out of anyone in the lottery

Trade back with PHX, SAC, or ORL. Take Isaac.

Jrue, Hill, Lowry, and Mills are all UFA. BC will probably be able to land one of them.

I think that De'aaron Fox has the potential to be that sort of player.

Just saying the Sixers already have a player that can be great in iso scoring: Okafor.

FWIW I've been thinking DSJ could be a good pick for the Sixers. Hedges against Simmons not working out as a PG. Gives the Sixers something it doesn't have - an explosive offensive PG. Less worried about his defense than his motor. Due to DSJ's more rounded offensive game, he seems like a better bet than Monk.

As of now I'm for Josh Jackson or DSJ.

DeAaron Fox was easily my favorite player coming into the season. The only reason I'm not promoting him for the Sixers is I miscalculated how bad his shooting stroke was. He improved month to month, though. I want to believe!

So what’s a good spot for you to play? I know you’re not going to tell me what team, but what style of play suits you?
Of course for me it’s up and down teams, playing fast paced, being able to grab a rebound and go. But in the NBA as a point guard you have to be able to run a half court set, and that’s something I’m going to have to adapt to because you can’t run every possession. But teams that have an uptempo pace and score a lot.

We want to run every possession. And when we get in half court, let Ben run it. Just bang the open shot and we get Patrick Beverly. I just see BC being a DSJ guy more than a DeAaron Fox guy.

The Okafor being great ship has sailed...
