Probably, but he'd actually eat the contact because he's GTDIH.

Damn, I'd love to see Embiid in that kind of shape. He really only needs to lose 25-30 lbs.

The other photos from that event (as seen on the GB) indicate that this is just a flattering photo. His shape has not improved all that much.

Embiid is in better shape, honestly.

Agree with those who see weaknesses in Zion’s biomechanics rather than his general fitness

It’s entirely possible to be both fit and an injury waiting to happen

Phoenix, as a 2nd apron team, stretch waiving Nassir Little and his 23M remaining is... definitely something. I mean, on one hand PHX fans have to be happy that their owner is willing to just burn money. On the other, it has to be asked if Ishbia is just throwing his money into a burn barrel, or is he feeding a bigger dumpster fire?

I'm leaning toward the latter.

Guessing stretching him will end up saving them a decent amount of luxury tax bills assuming they eventually get under the tax after the Beal deal expires.

They should stretch waive Bradley Beal

Yeah, this is a money-saving move, not a money-burning one:

I can't imagine they wouldn't if there was any way to be rid of him. That has to be the single worst contract in the league right now.

I see Butler is already eyeing FA. Having his people leak that 'he likes Brooklyn"

It might finally be the rebuilding year in Miami.

I believe Heat is eyeing Giannis. They’re just waiting for the Bucks to explode.

If anyone can destroy the Bucks, it's Glenn Rivers.

Spoiler:
Embiid is #8.

Embiid being behind non-MVP-level players is silly. Before Gasol got traded to the Lakers, Memphis was one of the worst teams in the league with him in his prime and relatively healthy. Embiid just missed more than half the season and the Sixers still won almost 50 games despite barely resembling an NBA team while he was out.

Embiid v. Nash is such a bizarre comparison it hurts my head. Talk about two completely different players. I think it's probably Nash at this point (Embiid isn't done), Nash also benefitted from playing at basically the perfect time when the rules changed to tailor to his game and the rest of the league hadn't adjusted yet.

I don’t see how you make a case for Giannis over Jokic at this point.

I think Yao is too low: if you say it’s because his career is too short, then why is Drazen above him? If you say Drazen is higher because of his International career, why is Sabonis lower than both?
