Don't they have to decide on that option early in the season?

They have to decide on Fultz and Korkmaz's third year options, and Ben and Dario's fourth year options, by Halloween 2018. In other words, about three weeks.

One good(?) thing about forcing this Fultz alongside Ben Simmons nonsense, is that it will likely tank Simmons' scoring and assist numbers and keep him from qualifying for a 190 million Supermax extension. He'll probably get the 156 million number and save the team about 5 million per on the cap. I don't know how happy Simmons will be though.

Would you do Fultz, Saric, and Bayless for Aaron Gordon?

No way. Not even because of Fultz. Why would we trade high IQ, great 3point shooter for low IQ at best mediocre shooter?

Nobody is gonna become a buyer on Fultz. I think the best we can do is go to a team with a prospect with "supposed" less upside and exploit that narrative.

Detroit with Kennard
Charlotte with Monk
Orlando with Isaac

The best we can do is to leave Fultz exactly where he is and let him grow. You aren’t going to trade him for a player with star upside, so you ride it out with him.

Fultz, Dario, Bayless contract and Shake Milton for Butler.

76ers: Why ? They get a star who can score and defend at a high level. He has playoff experience and has a legit chance of resigning with our core and infrastructure .

Def,pace and space.

Embiid/ Johnson / Bolden
Chandler / Muscala
Roco/ Kork/ Zhiare
Butler / Redick / Shamet
Simmons / TJ resigned .

Wolves:

Towns/ Dieng
Saric/ Gibson
Wiggins
Fultz/ Rose
Teague

Where is the space? Embiid is the second best three point shooter in that lineup.

Chandler, Roco and Butler shooting league average from 3 with wide open looks would help with plenty of bench shooters . Start Redick and bench Chandler then.

Embiid / Johnson / Bolden
Simmons/ Muscala
Roco/ Chandler / Kork
Butler/ Shamet / Zhaire
Redick / TJ

I'd rather Brand step up and trade Embiid for Towns. Fortune favors the bold!

If we're going down the deep rabbit hole... you trade Embiid for AD, not No D Karl Towns.

If you decide to make Ben Simmons the face of your franchise, it makes sense for the star big on your team to be the best offensive big in the game and in possession of elite shooting. The personal friendship the two have is just icing on the cake. With Towns as your big, we're talking FOUR shooter lineups for Simmons. Neither Embiid or Davis can provide that degree of spacing.

There's validity to that... but we've seen where Denver is with Jokic. Non-defensive anchor C's are a burden in this league. And if we're going with Ben as the franchise, having him and AD funneling all of Klutch's clients to Philly opens up a long potential championship window.

Denver is at the infancy of an incredible run. Jokic and Murray are rapidly developing players that I expect to both reach stardom. I don't think they can be used as a cautionary tale against not having a defensive anchor. They haven't even gotten started yet.

If Al Horford, Jonas Valanciunas and Lamarcus Aldridge can anchor a Top 10 defense, surely Karl-Anthony Towns can.

Besides, I think Towns is a way better defender than his reputation indicates. I don't know what happened in 2017, but he was fine during his rookie year and he was fine last year. And he was great at Kentucky, defensively.
