Thats the problem with the game nowadays. Everyone wants to be THE scorer. Scorer gets PAID.

Personally, I find Lavine to be jealous of Derozan’s success in crunch time. So when the ball gets to Lavine, he gets to tunnel vision and goes mamba mentality too often

This is the problem IMO. Not enough ball for DDR and LaVine. Pecking order not defined well enough. This is also why LaVine and Donovan do not get along.

That team in Chicago is begging for a locker room guy like Books Harris.

Lavine stinks but casuals are going to want him because he hit a zillion threes in a game against us.

Yikes

Low key worse than the Gobert trade. At least Rudy had some form of pedigree.

Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards

Gobert can at least anchor a defense. Problem is that Minnesota traded so much young talent in addition to those picks while Atlanta just dumped Gallo.

Agree with y’all on Lavine. I think he’s a toxic personality whose ego is bigger than his ability. Combine that with his knee issues and it’s a no go. I’m guessing Embiid knows him well due to the Hanlen connection & has instructed the team to stay away. Its telling that their have been no rumors about Embiid advocating for a Lavine trade but did so for Beal.

So according to the WT... Ainge wants a first to upgrade Beasley and Vanderbilt to John Collins.

Ainge is always so on-brand it's fantastic.

Ben has been terrible this 4th quarter. The only reason this game is close is because Tatum has been terrible.

That was a couple mins after he passed up a layup again because he’s afraid of the FT line. And to make up for it, the next possession he drove for a highly contested layup that he missed badly. The guy’s brain is just mush at this point.

Peak Zach LaVine

I love the color guy - "he goes for two??"

Check out the reaction by the two Bulls players who were sitting open at the 3-pt. line.

He’s also a genius for it at the same time. Ainge also knows how to build a basketball team, he has good understanding of the game.

He is underratedly one of the best GMs out there

What are your thoughts on both Mathurin and Ivey?

Mathurin. Doesnt he lack all around game and is mostly an off ball scorer?

Ivey. Does his inefficiency in shooting % and high TO concerning?

@ 26 years old he's supposed to be playing some of his basketball. It's hard to explain how he's regressed so much offensively. You watch those summer league games and the first two seasons and there was good reason to be excited about his potential. Now he's just another solid role player

If he keeps this up till the end of his career, is he considered a “bust”?

Btw, god damn it.. i dont think theres any team who has more bad luck in drafting guys. This fultz issue was mind boggling by itself then now this thing happening to ben was wtf

There’s also Zhaire..

Whats the Blazers doing?

By looking at Dame’s salary, they have to be trying to pump and dump their assets and are trying to win now right?

Didn’t watch the whole game but from the 10-12 mins I watch not really. Simmons was in foul trouble so they were hiding him a bit.

I always thought Ben had the potential to be the closest thing to a defender to slow Tatum down for stretches. For similar reasons to how Wiggins was able to in the playoffs. Tatum has elite size@ 6'9 and is used to shooting over guys, with his length and high arching shot , he's a good athlete but not overwhelming quick. Wiggins made him work with elite athleticism to stay in his grill and enough length to contest most of his shots.

I imagine if Ben haven't lost a step he can be a valuable defender if the nets happen to run into celtics & tatum in the playoffs.

That whole organization is a snake pit. Constant leaks, trade rumors, and now the owners son making franchise altering moves.
