I think the league figured out that Harden and Kawhi aren’t really a threat anymore. The heliocentric model is still works but you’ve gotta have an elite star in his prime - see Luka in LA.

Everyone and their mother averages 25 in this era. Back in my day averaging 25 was an achievement!

John Stockton averaged just 12 a game the year they reached the Finals vs the Bulls. Seeing Austin Reaves go on that stretch dropping 40 like a Temu version of Luka makes me question every scoring stat these days.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

Yep. My post was half in jest. In my opinion, the modern day basketball player is more skillful and on-ball talent is more widespread compared to previous generations, but today's style of play makes it easier to score more points than 10-15 years ago.

It's a debate that touches nerves of fans who grew up during different eras, but there's plenty of nuance when debating these things. But IMO you put Iverson or Kobe in 2025 they'd easily lead the league and average 40-43 IMO.

OKC hasn’t had their 2nd best player all season and they’re still 11-1 beating teams by 14.4 on average. And their one loss was by 2 points on the 2nd night of a road back to back where they traveled from LA to Portland. They’re just an absolute machine.

Add the Clips and the Mavs to the list of tanking teams.
