So basically is Cousins for Hield.

And Divac got a first round pick a second round pick and Galloway for Casspi.
Divac for GM of the year. :D

Older college shooters. Stauskas did have a more versatile skill set, but in the end, he was alluring because he was 6'6 and shot the three ball very well.

I think I read an article that Ranadive is obsessed with the Warriors and probably wants to implement that style of play. Good luck finding Steph!

This trade only works if Buddy Hield can become a "lead" guard. I don't have the doubts others have as to whether he's a starting shooting guard in this league. I do have serious doubts whether you can put the ball in his hands.

I'm not really down on Hield all that much myself, but he is definitely in the Stauskus/McClemore mold of talented guard that has a shot to be a good player. It didn't happens for Nik or Ben, but maybe hey get lucky with Buddy.

The most shocking thing about this deal though is not that the Kings accepted the deal. We know that they are stupid already. It's that I can't believe that another team didn't swoop in and make it happen. What the hell is Ainge doing?

If he just traded salary, the Brooklyn 2018, and one of Brown, Smart or Bradley, he could have had Cousins.

He now HAS to get Butler somehow, or he really screwed the pooch here.

Wondering the same. Matt Barnes got waived. So maybe that bar fight was one of the last straws for everybody in the league, especially with Barnes choking a chick and Demarcus bragging about taking fools out.

Totally agree on Ainge and Butler, as well.

Unlike Nik and McLemore; Buddy seems to have a lot of confidence (unlike Nik) and isn't a space cadet (McLemore)....but he is also much older, not as athletic, and now HAS to be great to justify this **** deal.

We should be very thankful that he does, he has helped us in regards to picks. Without him, we don't own the swap this year or their 2019 pick. No GM in their right mind makes that trade lol, he's trying to become Jerry Jones of the NBA.

Me as well love WCS contract. Perfect fit for our backup center next to Embiid. Plus he's pissed and has been shopped.

If you can get WCS, also allows you to deal Noel. I'm on board with that.

We already have had some the offers leak out. He doesn't have near as much value as he once did but we can get something for him.

Plus it's the kings we are talking about. They just took a ton of heat for the Cousins trade. They probably want to spin another player along with Hield as being part of their rebuild.

You guys think the Lakers would trade a pick swap of the 2017 pick(that we already own) for Okafor?

in the event that it ends up in the top 3, we could get their pick. If not, we get the pick anyway, and they get Okafor for free.

Would you do it?

No. Even if we don't get the pick this year we will get the pick in 2018. I'm not giving up an asset of Okafor for something we get anyways and might end up having this year.

So yeah no.

I don't think the Lakers do that and if I were the Sixers I wouldn't do it. I'm at the point now that I'm just leaving it up to lottery balls and hope we get the pick this year. If we trade Okafor and the Lakers pick falls to 4 or 5 then we just gave Okafor away for nothing. Okafor's value is better than nothing even though it's low. I want Okafor gone though. I can't take it if he's still on the teams after the trade deadline lol. I don't think the Lakers do it because if they are in the top 3 they wouldn't want to move back even one spot. This is a trade where I think both teams say no.

The Lakers wouldn't ever do that. They don't want to give up that pick. It triggers the 2019 pick also being lost.

For the 76ers, I do that every day and twice on Sunday. The 1st and 2nd pick in this draft means Josh Jackson or Lonzo Ball. The chance of losing Okafor for nothing, is easily worth that opportunity.

Bulls heavily shopping Mirotic.

I find it hard to believe we can't get something done with Chicago for Okafor involving Mirotic, Valentine, and a protected future first.

It's probably the best return we can hope for, but didn't BC reportedly turn this exact offer down?
