Every good player missed between 0-5 games with this injury. A couple of scrubs missed 20+.

Anyone that had surgery missed over five games.

Realistically it’s he won’t be back till April 21 at this point. He may end up missing 2-3 playoff games. We only can hope to hang on in the playoffs till than.

We won’t know till surgery is done. Let’s hope he doesn’t have visual problems after the surgery either.

The timing of the injury just sucks.

We arent golden state where we have KD as backup superstar to get us through first round with step curry being injury. Ben Simmons is not that type of player yet.

I remember when the Bulls said this about Jordan.
The Lakers probably said this about Kobe.
And I am sure the GSW said this about Curry before they got Durant.

Well neither Bulls nor the Lakers has two number one overall picks in their team besides their best player.

If we are talking regular season. I agree. If we are talking playoffs then I disagree.

Being the number 1 pick overall means what? You don't get to move in closer on free throws. It's just the promise of potential. And to actualize that potential you need to play and grow. Simmons is really good but he has a lot of work to do on his shot. Fultz? We can only hope, but it's still only 6 actual games played.

JJ Redick, our most seasoned playoff member, has a repetition of coming up short in the playoffs.

The 94 Bulls did not have Jordan. But they had playoff experience, which counted for a lot, they had Scottie Pippen and Toni Kukoc, who many people considered one of the best players to ever come out of Europe at that time. Both seasoned veterans and in their prime.

I would love for the team to go on a 94 Bulls run, but not having playoff experience, as a team, will be hard to overcome especially without Embiid.

It's the 76ers...Has anyone been paying attention. Expect Embiid to return in December of 2019. :D

Brett Brown will call him out in the press. BC will be conspicuously absent until 2019. But Embiid will represent us in the lottery where we will end up with the #1 pick overall.

It's won't be all bad.

This team is just frustrating sometimes. Finally get Fultz back, have our full roster playing....and it only last for 2 games.

Hopefully Jojo can come back for the first round, I don't think we can win it without him and he knows it. What I hate about a mask is when he goes for blocks and rebounds, he will get hit in the face so it is dangerous even with the mask IMO.

I am curious as the the affect it will have on Ben since he has been playing so well recently. Guess we will find out.

If Fultz would’ve sat out the year, would Embiid still be healthy now?

OT: Kapler is the new Chip Kelly. Pulling Nola yesterday was beyond dumb.
I feel like any manager does this at the beginning of the season. They don't want to overload the pitchers this early.

Except burying your bullpen under tons of innings is pretty much always a terrible idea.

Why? Fultz is healthy now. He should play.

What he is trying to say is - if Fultz sat out a year, he wouldn't have collided with Embiid, and Joel would still be heathly. ;)

What I’m trying to say is Fultz is healthy and he should be playing and he is playing. And if Embiid holds onto the ball and doesn’t bobble it then Fultz doesn’t try to pick it up. People keep trying to blame Fultz. It was a freak accident and Fultz has 0% blame in it.

Yeah it was a fluke injury the only thing I would question is why Embiid played. We didn't need him and he needed some rest at some point.

We also won the game without him. Guess he'll get his rest now.

Also people who are blaming Fultz need to watch the video. He gave the ball to Embiid who was then supposed to hand it back off to Fultz cutting to the basket. Embiid is the one who fumbled the exchange and then they both went for the ball.

Could have easily been anyone. JJ. TJ. Dario. Just happened to be Fultz people need to lay off him he was doing the right thing going after the looseball.

There’s no need for anyone to second guess anything. Embiid should have played. We are fighting for playoff position. Embiid came out and said he wants to play because he stays in shape and when he sits he doesn’t feel as fresh. He got hurt. It happens. No need to second guess anything. Embiid is a basketball player. He needs to play basketball when healthy. And we can’t assume we will beat bad teams if we sat Embiid.

If we can't beat the Knicks without Porz then this team isn't going anywhere anyways in the playoffs.

And yes Embiid needs to get rest he's looked gassed for weeks now eveybody seen it thats how players get hurt in this case it was a fluke but we've been lucky to be honest how many times have we had near misses?

It sucks a lot but he will be back. Simmons just needs to hold it down.

We are trying to catch the Cavs. You don’t rest a healthy Embiid until we reach a meaningless game, and that would mean being 2 games up on the Cavs with 1 to play.

There is no one to blame for what happened. It was a freak accident, and thank god it wasn’t a knee or foot.

Like I said you guys are right after thinking about it more. Just frustrated and bummed out after losing Embiid.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
