Trade Ferguson, Scott, and Zhaire to Chicago for Thad Young

Sign DJ Augustine for Cheap

Ben- Augustine
Curry- Shake, Maxey
Thybulle- Green
Tobi- Thad, Reed
Jo- Howard

I really like that team

I expect Danny Green to be traded by the middle of the season.

1.) expiring, might as well use it as an asset
2.) age has caught up on him, his performance will likely decline as the season progress but he’ll likely start off very good like how he did with the Lakers or how Al started off with us

I also see Tobi getting traded after Doc will pump up his value then Morey will dump him. I can see us having a hard time trading Tobi. I think he is a guy who works on his game and he’d be a better player than before next season.

The thing why I dont see any trades anymore is this.

Like all you can do are marginal moves now for trades.

But if you can just wait 20 days after dec 8, you can have 25m of expiring (inc furg, zhaire and scott) with around 10m worth of trade exemption via the horford deal. Maybe Maxey or Milton surprise a lot of people. You can attach one or both and some picks to make a big splash.

Call me stubborn, but I still want Nerlens. Condensed season, so Jo's likely to sit out a decent amount. Not sure how often you'd have all 3 available

What is so great about this guy? He's 31 and has played 2 seasons in the league. His numbers don't really stand out, and he seemed to have a fairly limited bench role on the celtics. Can someone tell me a bit about him?

Maybe it's that he's a local?

Hey man, people started a hive over the unofficial 3rd Morris brother. Pretty sure they'd be loved here as well

Gulfwang wrote:Realistic options are DJ Augustin, Reggie Jackson, Teague, Wanamaker, Napier, Elfrid Payton

Or try to trade for Monte Morris, George Hill, Patty MIlls, Aaron Holiday, Satoransky,

I like these names.

Going from least wanted to most.
-Jackson,Teague fell off not as interested.

-Payton, Satoransky have nice size, defense but i dont think they provide enough shooting.

-Wanamaker is ok dont know if I like him over shake.

-Napier i have been fond of for this team, high Iq, can shoot , handle and pass. Not really a standout player but provides a skillset.

-George Hill,Patty Mills,DjAugustine i would be fine with any of these vets who can shoot or put the ball on the floor. George hill is a little different as hes more like a 3&D guard who can start.

-Aaron Holiday, Monte Morris These guys are young and have a skillset we need. Would love to nab them but dont see how .

Read on Twitter

Since the Horford-Green trade can't be completed until Dec 8, can we just swap Ferguson with Hill from OKC? Maybe add another second round pick if OKC wants it.

I would love Monte Morris. Dude is a smart, safe play at PG who has C&S capabilities. Nice player to have for half court offense, especially on a team that struggles with turnovers.

Was thinking that (or something along those lines to modify the deal). Not sure that require more value than the added salary savings it would provide them.

He publicily said that wants a new contract and Denver just signed Campazzo, a 29-year-old PG. Also Denver really wanted Zhaire Smith in 2018, tried to trade future picks to WAS to draft him at 15. Maybe there's a deal to make.

WTF, gross!

Too late, Detroit.

Not gross, Jackson is an elite defensive player with shotcreating abilities. Maybe he doesn't have the intangibles to fufill his star potential, but he can still salvage his career and be an excellent playoff contributor given those defensive and shotcreating abilities he possesses.

We need players that aren't headcases. Already got Dwight.

And yet some here want noel,LOL :noway:

Tobias Harris gotta go next we don’t him clogging up the midrange paint area. He can be our highest paid player either . Simmons and Embiid need to be our 5 and 4 with perimeter shooters.

I want us to get George Hill SO bad. Such a perfect fit for us. Elite catch and shoot 3, solid defence and he'll instantly become the best half court PG we had with this iteration of a team.

Zhaire, Korkmaz, Scott + 2nd should be enough, right?

I don't mind his fit with the current roster. Obviously, the contract is less than ideal, so if you can get rid of him, have at it. I like having another 3/4 with Ben so that he's free to guard stud SFs without having a mismatch at the 4.
