Think I'd rather have 32 year old Draymond than 26 year old Simmons. Woof.

I mean, Draymond is a candidate to greatest defensive player in history and he can REALLY defend the 5 positions.

Ben is bad as a 5 and it's gonna be out of the league once his athleticism begins to leave him.

If he keeps this up till the end of his career, is he considered a “bust”?

Btw, god damn it.. i dont think theres any team who has more bad luck in drafting guys. This fultz issue was mind boggling by itself then now this thing happening to ben was wtf

There’s also Zhaire..

Don't forget Evan Turner. I think DMC and Paul George were also in that draft. Jahlil Okafor is still in his 20s and is out of the league . Then there's the hit & misses with brand (player and GM) and bynum; and to go even further back, Webber and Glenn Robinson. I don't think William Penn likes the sixers because he let every other Philly team have their moment.

I dont think Turner had a “freak” event like the guys ive mentioned.

People kind of forgot that Ben’s decline started with that family issue he had with his sister and step brother.

Thunder just beat the Bulls at home. That team is promising and SGA is better than many star players already.

Jalen Williams having a bigger role with their tank commander (Poku) getting injured was the difference

Looking likelier as games go by. But I still think Chet should be good.

He’s a man of counter moves.

If you know kung fu he’s like the drunken master. You thought he’s out of control and slow then he’s gonna counter so quick and in control.

The Fultz situation is so frustrating. If not for whatever the hell happened, he’d be just as good as Tatum if not better. Out of all the things we screwed up on, I never count that one because you can tell he would have been special. He was the right pick for us.

Yes. You can see it right now despite him being a shell of what he can be. With a decent 3pt shooting, he’d be the ideal PG prototype in today’s game.

Positionless on defense, 3 level scoring, PnR and ISO.

Walker Kessler is the best shotblocker in NBA history. But in the grand scheme of things, just rebounding and blocking shots is doing the bare minimum for the position. Does he shoot threes or pass the ball well? Chet is probably going to do both of those ancillary offensive traits in addition to being an elite shotblocker who can rebound the ball.

Wendell Carter would COMPLETE this team if he was starting at PF. PLEASE go get him.

Hell nah, I think the Walker Kessler hype is getting a little to crazy. Chet will absolutely be a better player than him. He’s got a high basketball IQ, better defensive versatility, and good shooting touch. Walker is probably the ideal shot blocking, lob catching center but his ceiling is an order of magnitude lower than Chet’s.

The Magic are going to be forced to do so something soon. The entire team is either a PF/C or a PG.

Traits have different values relative to different positions. And sometimes being good in just one thing that is very valuable to a certain position can makes up for the other traits you are not good at.

And for the C position, it largely depends on the defensive side of the court.

basketball is a team sport. And in a team everyone is playing a certain role. And in most times and ideally with how the game is played, you’d want to put all the offensive responsibilities with your perimeter players

And when you have someone like Porzingis who thinks he should get more shots, he’s gonna want to ask a trade when you play him with a Doncic

If evan mobley thinks he needs to average 20+ to get a supermax, he’s gonna take away possessions from Mitchell and Garland that would hurt the Cavs. If Cavs deny this, Mobley will ask for a trade

Kessler is a good player. He's a very safe, functional C. There's just no way I'd take a typical C with no exceptional ancillary traits over a special C. Would you take Marcin Gortat over Pau Gasol?
