Of all the options that we have this is the absolute worst. I'm not saying we have any *good* options but in the game theory of least bad option, this is clearly not it.

The planet where it's impossible to win an NBA championship without someone of Lillard's caliber spearheading your offense, and neither Harden nor Maxey -- nor Embiid -- are that caliber. It'll be at least two years until Maxey can function in that role, if ever. Nobody in the next two years is handing Tyrese Maxey the ball at the end of game seven and saying "ok now go to work."

Lillard couldn't even spearhead his team to the playoffs.
His team sucks.

My trust of the Process is quickly evaporating.

Anyone have any encouraging words of optimism for a long-time, old man 76ers fan?

Open to any and all positive thoughts.

Not really, it’s so hard to win in the nba. Need a top 5 guy and then for a lot to break your way. I guess the hope is that as long as you have embiid, maybe you have that top 5 guy (maybe he’s finally healthy in the playoffs) and then maybe even your second guy with Maxey. But still just need everything to break your way to really contend.

Was Portland's roster really that much worse than Miami's?

Clippers trade was smoke. Clippers are in position to run it back with Westbrook. They got expirings and some young talent. They are fine...

Yes, Miami has a DPOY calibre center, a top 2-3 SF and role players who play far above their contracts. They also have the best coach in the game. It's really not the same.

My encouraging words are the Process ended the moment Jerry Colangelo was installed by the league. So don't be too down on it all. It ended nearly 8 years ago.

Seems to me, since he hasn't signed yet, that you offer McDaniels a 4-32 deal. You should be able to work around that for max cap space next summer. And of course Reed should get around the same.

If Tucker goes out with Harden in the Clippers trade, and you take expiring a and picks back, and hold off on paying Maxey, then Morey should be able to make a max slot happen one way or the other.

Don't know whether it's real, PatBev to Sixers.

EDIT: others confirming, saying it's a 1 year deal for the minimum, fully guaranteed.

I think I'd rather have an extra 16M in cap space than McDaniels and Reed in my bench.

Seems kind of odd, another very short guard. His shooting legs seem so have gone as his 3P% is way, way down from just a few years ago. But his defense seems still to be good. Is he a cheap Milton replacement? Don't know. They need to have scorers in any lineup alongside him.

So another former Rocket in his mid-30s. And a third munchkin for the rotation.

Someone take the phone away from Daryl Less-ey.

I think you should be able to move one of the other or both if need be. The Sixers are going to fill most of the rest of the roster with one year deals.

What other former Rockets can Fraud Morey sign? Eric Gordon?

The idea that he's going to hold onto Harden and try to convince him to stay for another year is completely idiotic. He'll come to camp fatter than ever.

Make the best trade you can with Clippers now and move on.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
