I'm a teacher this is definitely sus. We are constantly getting kids using AI on their work.

Keep an eye on Washington and Saddiq Bey as a potential return on a mid-season Martin trade. I could see Washington eventually tank their season to capture the Flagg and change course to stack up assets.

Martin and picks for Bey could make a lot of sense for both teams.

Saddiq Bey is just a name. He's not actually a good player. Coming off an ACL injury mid-season makes it even worse.

No chance the guy would help in a title push, so I don't see it.

I like his fit. Hardnosed physical wing who's switchable and can match up with 4's. Capable outside shooter (although he didn't shoot particularly well last season).

Midseason? The guy got injured and had his surgery in APRIL. The guy is likely to sit out ALL season, and you have no idea how he'll play coming off a major injury. What would be the point in making this deal?

Jake LaRavia is a name I hope Morey considers. Former 1st round pick with a solid skill set that has no real path to playing time for Memphis. Don’t know what it would take, but he makes nothing so you could trade Martin and a pick(s?) for him now. I think he could definitely play a very solid 15-20 mins for us at backup 4 while continuing to be a cheap asset moving forward

He's an interesting name. I would also look into Aldama and probably prefer him. As you mentioned, kinda tough to gauge their value.

I mean, LaRavia was getting 23 mpg last season in his second year. That's more than you are projecting giving him here. I don't see how that's "no real path to playing time" - most teams aren't willing to trade guys still on their rookie deal if they are productive and are showing potential, but still not enough potential to be trading a 1st round pick for him.

Aldama has basically been starting for that team. Again, I don't really why Memphis would be looking to deal him. If anyone is expendable from that team, it would be Brandon Clarke, who I've mentioned before. Overpaid for someone who has been playing <20MPG and this time truly no path for more.

This is really the point. The Tobi "goodbye" read like the 30 Rock/ Tracy Jordan / E Network "apology," that I posted above, which didn't sound remotely like the person it was representing. AI or not, it clearly was not written by Tobias Harris himself. Lazy is the operative word, on multiple levels.
