So Harper, Ace, Tre, and VJ.

Part of me is fine with using the Clipper pick to move up and get Harper.

The other part wants to just dare SA to take him with Fox and Castle already in tow over there.

If they're talking, maybe the Spurs are willing to take less than the Clipper pick?

I already have my new avatar ready for when we draft nipples. HE probably cant dunk, but we will never know beforehand, since he kinda ran of the combine so his subpar athletic abilities wouldnt get exposed

Since the Pelicans are interested in Bailey, maybe we can use them to move up to #2?

NOP gets: #3 (Bailey), Barnes
PHI gets: #2 (Harper)
SAS gets: #7 (Kon), Jones, 2026 IND 1st, 2029 PHI 1st swap (SAS gets highest, PHI gets middle, LAC gets lowest)
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Butler
Grimes/Edwards/Gordon
Oubre/Council
George/()/()
Embiid/Bona/Drummond

Harper has size to guard 3's . I think he can play with Maxey, Mccain and Grimes and fit in due to his size... He slashes and can be used as a point forward. Grimes and Harper locking down and scoring on wings is exciting .

Maxey
Harper
Edwards
PG
Embiid

Harper really finally provides us with an actual point guard with distribution skill and the ability to get in the lane to put pressure on the interior of the defense. He has the length to be an SF on small ball situations. Works great with Maxey and McCain. I'm not a 100% believer of his shot yet but I do like the upside there. It's not surprising Morey wants to move up for him, he's in the same realm of prospect as Harden.

I'm reluctantly ok trading the 2028 LAC 1st to move up to #2. I'd try to get the OKC 2026 2nd rounder back also from SA, which should be one of the last picks next year, since we don't have any picks in 2026.

Moving up to draft Harper signals a full rebuild, which is great. We'd finally be off the Embiid timeline for real. Otherwise they would hold onto that LAC pick for a future "win now" trade.

I think its gonna be VJ for them.

Why? Between Castle, Fox and VJ there’s not enough shooting around Wemby.

Edgecombe can knock down c&s looks and has a solid chance to develop into a reliable otd scorer.

With Wemby anchoring the defense, you can comfortably run a 2–3 guard unit built around the archetypes of Edgecombe, Fox, and Castle.

I really hope they don’t trade up. We need to finally see who was right, that’s more important.

I dont think Harper distribution skills are that good, he only had 4 APG. You can argue that his team was crap, but so was Fultz´s and he had like 6 APG in Washington. I think he´s more of a combo guard...

How did he elevate his game so much when Flagg was injured then?

We cant use the "crap team" excuse for Ace, so we cant use either for Harper.

Fultz problem wasn;t that he was a bad shooter...it was the HE DIDN'T SHOOT AT ALL.
Harper being around the NBA his whole life also gives him a leg up on mr Imma shoot with a medicine ball.

I could see why the Spurs would at least consider moving down from or out of #2...

I watched all 104 of Dylan Harper’s misses at Rutgers and 24 of his misses either hit the backboard, air-balled or were blocked, while nearly one-third sprayed left or right.

On catch-and-shoot attempts, 22.2% of his misses went left and 19.4% went right.

Harper is undoubtedly a high-level prospect because of his ferocious downhill attacking, playmaking ability, and potential defensive versatility. But concerns over his shooting do raise questions about the fit next to Stephon Castle and De'Aaron Fox when trying to build the ideal roster around Victor Wembanyama.

I don't think that's clear. People have speculated they move down, but we don't know if the Sixers actually want to.
