Re: Around the league 2017-2018
I don't think Lonzo is going to continue shooting at this pace. He'll eventually start shooting adequately, I'm more worried about him as a primary facilitator as he lacks some of the necessary skills to excel at a high level. I think eventually he'll settle down into a 14-15 point scorer on better efficiency but he needs to be able to do more than pass to a creator and chill at the 3 point line....that type of play-style is cool if your the 10th pick in the draft but at #2? Nah

Re: Around the league 2017-2018
Man Jason Kidd is a lucky ass man.
He gets to be the "coach" of Giannis and now his team trades for Bledsoe. I think the Bucks have a great future and present team, and Kidd really just has to sit back and watch his All World, potentially historically great player set records left and right while his newly acquired vet combo guard makes plays and wins games.
I really wish the Sixers would've tried to trade for Bledsoe.
Sixers obviously going to be better anyways but still.... Kidd is lucky.
Brett Brown actually has to coach his butt off every game because he's stuck with Bayless and an inexperienced stud in Embiid. Anywho.....those are my thoughts for the day.

You figure the first 2 times he took zeller off the dribble they would put someone else on him.

Yeah. No way he can check Tatum.

11 straight for the Celtics. They may win the whole thing. GS isn’t all that. Tatum is the real deal.

I guess that's good for us? No way we catch the Celtics but the Hornets are a team we could be in the same range as.
Dwights already not playing at the end of games. He can't like that.

The Warriors would win every game by 15+ against the Celtics even at full strength in a finals matchup.

The Celtics don't have a single player on their roster who would start on the Warriors.

No they wouldn’t. The Celtics have the best defense. They have depth. They have a complete team. Just wait until Hayward comes back next year. They may win 58 games without him. With him they may win 65 games.

I guess I should have said defensively. He's never going to be an efficient scorer if he doesn't figure his shot out. But to have a player like him that can guard 1-3 is incredibly valuable.

Re: Around the league 2017-2018
Lonzo.
I also had him as a top draft prospect, mostly because of his numbers. His shot looked funny but it was not much of an issue in UCLA.
You have heard everything now about how hard it is for him to pull off that shot. But the guy is shooting 50+FT%. Its not just a shot mechanic issue but also a TOUCH issue.
Maybe I'm wrong. But bottomline is Lonzo ATLEAST needs 2-3 years to fix that shot with a good touch.
2-3 years and you aren't even sure if he'll turn out to be a good shooter. And even if he does turn out to be a good shooter, will he be a good scorer? If he ends up not being a scoring PG, that's like Rubio-Conley caliber? Poor man's Jason Kidd?
Now look at the bigger picture. Does your team's chances looks brighter if you rely the next 2-3 years on Lonzo or if you look at other avenues in the next 2-3 years?
If I'm the Lakers, maybe trade Lonzo to the Suns for their top pick or. Let Kuzma, BroLo, JC and Ingram play this year to entertain the fans.
If Lakers opt to hold Lonzo. They're basically be the same team now going to next year, and I don't know if thats healthy to the team and the fanbase.

There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

He is great defensively. Hopefully, he can improve on the other side of the ball.
